I hear 'The Pinball Arcade' is going to be re-released on XBLA shortly.

Its going to be in a Pinball FX2 style which is probably how they should have done it in the first place.
All tables already purchased will be compatible with the new interface.

First tables will be Twilight Zone and Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Sounds pretty exciting had been holding off buying it on XBLA due to all the problems but this could be good.

I thought we just had one pinball thread, there's loads!

Anyway, after about 10 yrs, I'm finally getting round to building a MAME cabinet. I've heard of the PinMame stuff, but hadn't really thought about how people play it, I'd just read about people putting extra buttons on the side of cabinets, which I thought would be a bit useless.

But I came across this today - want want want!

I reckon if I can make a MAME cabinet, I could do one of these should be easy to get the screens. Only trouble is space, I would need a divorce first to get it in the house.

    Oh yes! Instant purchase.

Apart from Clone Wars, which can do one.

Even though the Marvel tables are great, some brilliant, it is nice to see something different coming out. Can't wait for some leaderbaord chasing on these new Star Wars tables!
  • Deleted user 7 February 2013 10:44:28
@jellyhead On the Zen forums they basically said in not so many words that it will be coming to Wii-U as well.

    Sweet! Thanks, Alipan.
    Happy Panda :)

Can we have a JarJar Torture Table? Or an Ewok one? Don't mind really, either will do.

Really wish they'd bring all these tables out for the 3DS, I'm getting rather tired of playing the same 8 tables, and one of them I can't stand. I'm either really awful at Shaman or the physics are a bit off. It just seems to randomly deflect from any old angle and fall down the sides constantly.

Heh - I have bought it, just been a bit busy and haven't had a chance to load it up yet! I'll be competing for the tables you haven't tried yet just as soon as I can!

Too late, put in a score on all the tables just now :D The Boba Fett and Empire tables are truly excellent (Clone wars probably is as well, but I've spent as much time on it as on the others). The attention to detail is stunning (as usual), the matrix display on Empire and the highscore entry on Fett for instance - lovely :D

So drop whatever you're doing, these tables need to be played! ;)

The ESB table is worth the 800 points alone. It's brilliant. Everything fits perfectly and the sound just tops it off. It's ace.

Lucky really as the Boba Fett and Clone Wars tables are both a bit pants

Yup, I started playing on the ESB table last night and only delved into Boba Fett as an afterthought. Haven't even started up the cartoony wan yet.

I became absolutely engrossed in the Empire Strikes back, even though I still don't really understand all that much about what is going on with it. I like this period of figuring stuff out - mostly it's just following the flashing stuff, but although I brought an AT-AT down last night, I wasn't sure which actual routes around that middle bit were the ones that counted as a loop.

Nearly turned Boba Fett off straight away, but once I'd started up a few of the Empire and Jabba missions, it started to make a bit more sense, and there seems to be a bit of lateral stuff off to the edges that I just haven't got the hang of yet. It felt like an odd amalgamation of Blade, Wolverine (it runs pretty fast) and to some extent the mostly empty central area reminded me a bit of Rome, especially with all the ramp options.

I really miss the original View 4 though. I've never got the hang of running the full table View 6, and 3 is just a little bit too zoomed in.

Why do Star Wars noises get me so excited, I'm 41...

Really liking ESB and BF, add calros if you want some really crap competition - say you're from EG if you have a different id.

I have to get my scores up, my 8 yr old had a go on ESB and got 3 million on his first go....

ESB table is brilliant. Damn, want to watch the film now.

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.

Worse than that, I've found myself doing my own (terrible) impressions of the voice actors who've actually made a great job of covering their field on the ESB table.

ESB is really great. It is so good that I haven't even noticed that the 800 points is for 3 tables this time instead of 4.

ESB is great I managed to get 42M last night and was top of my friends leaderboard (though I imagine one of you "working from home" bastards has already beaten it).

Think the other two tables are also pretty good. Put in a reasonable starting score on clone wars but struggled a bit with Boba Fett which also remind me of the wolverine table. Liked the ball save with his grappling hook thing.
