Registered 5 years agoAny song using autotune. The worst thing to ever happen to music, prehaps only equalled by what "R'n'B" has stood for since the 90's (which fittingly is the source of 90% of evil autotune music). -

No it's not. Used correctly it's like any other studio tool. It can be a rather awesome effect.

Registered 3 years agoremember folks, if you don't like reggae or ska or autotune (and/or like pavement) you are actually probably racist sorry. (and bad in bed.) (and bad at games.)
iirc wayne coyne uses autotune live because his voice is shot to shit these days.
nowadays you can record a polyphonic instrument, then move around/pitchshift the individual notes of the chord later on. this is theoretically impossible "but what is impossible in theory can work in practise" o_O -

You won't notice it when it's done right. No different to a bit of reverb.

Registered 7 years agoAuto tune won't make a crap singer good though. It just won't. Its main purpose is to slightly bend sung pitches to the nearest true semitone. Anything more than that and it starts to sound like utter pants.FCUTA!

this is autotune. 808s and heartbreaks has tonnes of it too. YMMV.
