    Have just finished some major house network jiggery and went to re-connect the PS3 and...er, can't connect - So I've found myself here.

    At least it's not my fault! :)

    EDIT: And at least Misfits is on in 4 mins... :D

    They pick some god awful times to do updates given most of their customers are in Europe.

    BF1943 was fine for me this evening.

    Maintenance been and gone, games unaffected, or does BF use different servers?

    I wish they had a proper message for this. I tried signing into PSN and got some Error - 010212031234034 bollocks. Is it so hard to say it's down for maintenance until whenever?

    Strange. Me and a 15 others were signed into the PSN since I got home from work (about 1830)
    Half of us were playing Black Ops MP and the rest were playing various other games.

    I don't think I have ever not been able to connect when they have had these maintenance warnings.

    Strange. Anyone else had a trouble free evening?

    I had no problem signing in and playing MAG last night either.

    Turned on ps3 to do some single player and I was signed in so gave it a go and had no problem at all

    I'm having trouble signing on to EA servers at present. Army of Two & Burnout Paradise (both EA) can't connect yet all other online gaming is fine. Weird.

    Maybe I should change this to the Sony US couldn't give a stuff about Europe and their Store update times thread...

    PSN is down from 16:05 on Wednesday 9 March 2011 until 03:00 on Thursday 10 March 2011.

    During the maintenance, you will be unable to access the following services:

    * PlayStation Store on PS3 and PSP.
    * PlayStation Network Account Management.
    * PlayStation Network Account Registration.

    In addition, you will not be able to sign in to PlayStation Network from eu.playstation.com. If you wish to play online during the maintenance, please ensure you sign in to PSN before 16:05 on Wednesday 9 March 2011.

    During this maintenance, you can continue to collect in-game trophies and these will be updated on your profile once PlayStation Network is back up and running.

    First time I've turned my PS3 on in months and PSN is down. Nice. When I first bought my PS3 last year, I got it home and it was down then too. They have great timing :-D

    That would be easy if I didn't use it as a Blu-Ray player.

    Yep, PS3 is a good blu-ray player. Whilst PSN is down maybe you can help:

    Please help me with Mass Effect 2

    Did you winging lot realise that the reason for the downtime is for the introduction of the Playstation Cloud.

    The ability to save around a 1000 gave saves. Including developer locked saves (with caveat - Something about 24hr wait I think).

    Hiddenaway posted it in the PS+ thread. Oh and its just for PS+ subscribers at the moment.

    1. I never knew this feature would suddenly appear :p

    2. I don't subscribe to PS+ at the moment (though that's a decent reason to do so)

    3. I would have liked to download the Explodemon demo today :p

    it's not spam and i'd appreciate it if you didn't edit legitimate posts that i have made.

    your message is completely pointless and more akin to spam. next time try using the private message.

    psn being down doesn't appear to affect the bbc player etc. just network related stuff. it's amusing to see the amount of comments on facebook from confused ps3 owners.
