    I'd started playing this late last night hence posting that at gone 1 this morning. Didn't 'get' the timing at first, second nature now though. Got a little frustrated is all. Got it down before I realised direct tag assaults existed, a move I can map to a button on my controller (great for getting this combos in).

    No chance I'm going to grind the stage 5 boss for the points though, even though I can complete that without losing health and in about a minute now.

    Probably.

    Played this yesterday afternoon and it constantly matched me against people with 600-800 wins a piece. I have 16 wins, but now I have at least 10 more losses :-(

    I'm generally quite good at Tekken. I'm not great, but I held my own online in Tekken 5 and 6, but in TT2 I'm getting utterly, totally slaughtered online. Probably because I don't really know anyone other than King that well, and so when I tag out I get utterly destroyed. I also don't know a thing about the new mechanics of TT2, and I don't know where to learn more about them. I even bought the giant strategy guide, which is close to useless.

    Anyone any advice?

    Grind the last boss battle in Fight Lab - i know that sounds a bit rubbish, but i honestly had no clue what the new mechanics were like before doing this (i'm still playing Paul as if it's Tekken 3!).

    Now I'm able to throw in a few rebound combos and tag assaults per fight. It's also started making me look at better character combos than my Paul/Dragunov team.

    Also my Xbox is dying again. Hopefully I can re-resuscitate it.

    I love Tekken, it's so very easy for noobs (like me) to have fun with this game. As long as you know how to block, throw, the difference between low and high attacks and what buttons are kicks and punches you can have hours of fun with local multi-player.

    Of course, you occasionally run in to 'cheap' attacks which aren't immediately obvious how to counter but it's still my favourite fighting game for playing with friends.

    I'm finding more than a few projectile weapon spammers online. What if fecks name where these items put into the game for?

    Is anyone still playing this? Me and SourMonkey have been having a blast on this lately. It'd be good to get a slightly more thriving lobby going.

    Nice one, Nick, I'll be on most nights anyway. It's really scratching my FG itch of late. I've just been a little distracted with other games, but I feel ready to start learning it again.
