Did that the first time and it helped... Took down the 2 dogs then got cornered.

Never mind. I'm pretty stubborn and I've got a couple of hours this evening to keep going at it.

You'll get there. He's a twat, but you'll do him.

Anything to buff your weapon will help speed up the fight/get the dogs out of the way quicker.

I'm pretty sure I've heard of people doing a plunge attack from the right hand side at the top of the steps as well.

Once the dogs are down, it's easy. Shield up, quick attacks in between his attacks.

Oh lordy, I hated the Capra Demon fight, little time to react when you enter the tiny boss arena

Think the thing that helped me the most was ensuring that I had a decent shield

Speaking of, wonder if I should upgrade from my Spider Shield at some point...

It depends what you want in a shield. Smaller shields are better at parrying. The one I'm carrying around can't parry at all, but it can block basically anything with little stamina cost.

Spider shield isn't bad, a bit of extra stability always helps. I always use the grass crest shield though, even if it doesn't block 100 physical.

    cheers, hardly ever parry

Will have to check out what I have later, got one of those spinny skeleton wheel shields recently, but think it was too heavy for my character at the time

Well, that's the other thing. If you're not going to be investing in Strength, you can forget about larger shields. Medium shields offer the best balance between stability and stat requirements.

I've got a fatty tank rocking Smough's armor and the mummified chicken drumstick helm, so it's greatshield all the way.

Oh, and make sure you've smashed the crystal beforehand obviously.
I kicked his arse that way, was relatively easy, cheers!

Of course on the way back I lost 60,000 souls due to the zig zag invisible path.
How anyone can defend such utterly cunty game design I do not know.

There's a bonfire after killing that boss. In fact, I think there's one after every boss.

You are a factory of sadness.

Yeah, I am extra extra extra careful right after a boss, when I have that many more souls to lose. If I'm not close to a bonfire, Homeward Bone.

Anyway, Priscilla is down now. And I felt just as bad as ever doing it. :(

Time for the tree next. Or maybe farm some souls to upgrade drumstick helm. I do love to look ridiculous, but some defence would be nice too. :)

As said there is a bonfire after that boss.

Apologise to us, and the developers, RIGHT NOW!

There is a bit of a zig zag if you're going for the titanite chunk, though. Maybe he took that one.

60k souls by that stage of the game isn't *that* much. I could make that back in half an hour of grinding in AL.

    Could have been worse!

Was loving this game until i entered blightown and the swamps. Im not finding it so hard but even for this game its a soul destroying kinda place, dreary as fuck. Just cant seem to be bothered to play through it. I know I must though, was getting too much enjoyment up to this point, maybe later.

Yeah, even though I don't find Blight Town to be as difficult as I used to, it's not a particularly pretty place. All brown and shit.

I found later areas tougher than Blightown tbh...
It's not a lot of fun though, that's for sure.
