Registered 1 year ago@Pinky_Floydspams some fire thing 3 times really fast.
That would be great combustion & yes, its use in Sen's is nooby. The trick in Sens is to use the terrain to your advantage. Many a joyful time I have started a fight with a high level opponent; only to win in the first hit. I say hit. I mean kick really
I've the place pretty much mopped up apart from 2 big demons down below causing me grief.
These are the 2 in the same room together right? Have you got the Rusted Iron Ring? If so then you can run faster in the mire, try to stay as close to the wall to the left of the entrance either way (through the arched tunnel then turn left). Dodge the lightning bolts and spam him with arrows until he gets close, at which point it just a case of circling behind him with your shield up while he's attacking. Drop your guard when he's not and strike twice, then either roll away or back off slightly with your shield raised. This is in an effort to avoid his 2 attacks that can get past your guard (the ones that grab you & pin you to the floor - splat). Hope that helps.

Registered 4 years agoCheers Elathron. Am in 2 minds now whether to go back and do some farming/upgrading before doing the boss at Sens. The Sens shortcuts seem to make it nice and easy to get from bottom to top. That nice ring from the forest folk might be good too. -

He's a puddle of piss with the help of Iron Tarkus, his white summon sign is over the bridge to the right of the boss door.
Have you found the merchant and released Big Hat Logan (and found the cage shortcut)? If God said “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you,” to Mary - does that mean he loves bukkake?

Yeah I have done all that. Might get rid of the firebomb giant and the boss tonight then if I don't get invaded before I manage to get there

Registered 6 years agoI don't quite understand the smoke/ invasion thing. I know you can touch signs for help and to engage in PVP. Do other invasions happen without consent by touching a sign? I think having someone in your world causes smoke to block you in your area, but sometimes it seems to happen at random. Is that someone trying to invade?
Also, is there a significance to traversing the white light? Sometimes it leads to a boss, but seems arbitrary at other times. The world is going mad. Me? I'm doing fine.

Registered 3 years agoDepends if you're human or not. If you're human, you can be invaded at any time. And in some areas, it causes the fog doors to appear until the battle is over.
The other ones (generally the smaller doors) are just checkpoints throughout the levels. Though they aren't actually checkpoints, if you see what I mean

Registered 6 years agoSo when human, I've seen them randomly appear and disappear. I'm assuming that's a failed invasion. The world is going mad. Me? I'm doing fine.

Would it be a problem for me at any time if I killed the undead merchant in Undead Berg? I want his sword.

You can, but bear in mind he'll (obviously) be dead afterwards - just stock up on what you want beforehand from him

I know, I feel bad about it and I've not even killed him yet. I've never killed a npc in this game before but I really want that sword

heh, even killing npc's is hard in this game
WARNING - NPC SPOILER
ANOTHER WARNING IN CASE YOU MISSED THE ONE ABOVE
I was devastated when I didn't manage to keep solaire alive. In the lost izalith shortcut, when he was hollow and running towards me, hostile, I actively tried to run away for ages to make it stop happening. Absolutely gutted
I both hate and love this game

Registered 6 years agoI think I ruined an NPC Interaction. I thought it was a standard zombie, so I stabbed it. It ran away out of reach and started insulting me, saying " you think you're so special. I suppose I should seek absolution for my sin.The world is going mad. Me? I'm doing fine.

The exact same thing happened to me. I turned around a corner rather tense I might add, and saw her lurking there, ready for the strike. (or so I thought) Then I noticed my mistake, as did the game scornfully shoing the saving symbol showing me that it would never forget. This came after I had aggravated another NPC earlier on when I misjudged the hit box of the attack of my bastard sword. ;_;

But do not worry in time you may find that to sin is only human and that you may yet be forgiven. -

Registered 9 years ago...so an easy mode might be getting put in, I would not have a problem with that. I have yet to play, I have pre ordered the PTD edition on 360, but if an easier mode made more people play and see the game what is the problem.
Unless you are some elitist Pratt of course
"Duffman is thrusting in the direction of the problem! Oh, yeah!"

Got a feeling that quadfather's character has been crossed off all the npc's Christmas card lists.
-
I've only ever killed the undead burg merchant once, on a separate character as I couldn't be arsed waiting till I met Shiva
