No love for this? Just started rewatching the first season night as the second one starts in a week or so on NBC. Abed and Troy beatboxing in Spanish still is probably my favourite moment. The Modern Warfare episode was brilliant from start to finish too.

There's gotta be EG love for this.

I'm looking forward to the new season. The paint ball episode towards the end of the 1st was one of my favourite comedy episodes of last year.

It's brilliant. Best American comedy show at the moment for me.

Weirdly all the love for this appears in the 30 Rock thread. It was there I first heard about it and have discussed it's greatness with other like minded individuals.

Just to confuse matters more, 30 Rock starts again soon (next week?) I really love that show.

    Brap, brap, old chap.

Thanks for the link. Didn't realise a new season of The Apprentice started tonight.

Wonderful show. Watched the 'An American Tail' ep last night.

Hope to god it can continue the momentum it built up at the tail end of last season.

Caught up with the season opener. Pretty good overall but the ending was brilliant as was the post credits scene.

Some good stuff from Abed in the ep.

And Shirley; "Abed, is this you being 'Meta'?'

I hope this Community thread stays around longer than the others. The other threads dissapeared or the users got GIed.

Anyway, this has finally made it's way to the UK. It's on VIVA right now, 2nd episodes is just about to start and both the 1st 2 episodes are repeated tomorrow at 8pm (6th Oct).

It's the best and funniest US sitcom I've seen since Arrested Development IMO. If you have't already seen it I highly recommend it.

I wish it was on a channel were it would get the credit it deserves. I can't help but think this would flourish more on E4.

I'm a few episodes into season 1, and it is superb stuff - really funny and very slick, even if it does have that US comedy habit of having the characters learn some sort of life lesson each episode. It was great that Arrested Development in particular (also 30 Rock) ditched that.

This last episode was fantastic. Abedīs side storyline running in the background and the way it connects with the main storyline is the kind of thing you wouldnīt expect from most US sitcoms.

Betty White was brutal, but awesome in the first episode:

Start watching the first season on VIVA. Only seen two episodes so far but I'm beginning to "get it".

It's sad that it's on such a shit hidden away channel, I think a lot of people would enjoy it if they were exposed to it.

I would never have seen it (or even have know what the fuck VIVA was) if it wasn't for this thread, thanks chaps!

    Just caught up with this.

Holy crap Modern Warfare might just be the best episode of any sitcom ever. :)

"Come with me if you don't want paint on your clothes"

The 'slightly higher budget' look of Season 2 is a bit jarring. Loving it though.

    Brap, brap, old chap.

It had it's moments but I thought it was trying to hard to be like Modern Warfare.

    That's a bad thing?

I've gotta say that might be one of my favourite episodes. Modern Warfare is obviously up top, watched it again the other day and it's got so many awesome moments. Abed's wall-run and the chess club "ambush" being favourites.

    Next weeks episode:
"Pierce and a few other Greendale students ingest a biohazard substance at the school Halloween Party, causing them to exhibit flu-like symptoms and begin turning into zombies. It is up to the rest of the gang to save themselves and the school when Dean Pelton locks them in with the zombie-infected student body."

    I can't wait :D

Just reached the Modern Warfare episode, and it was so very very good :)

I loved that line in particular!

I switched-off the first episode when it aired and have only just recently discovered how superb this show is. I think I'll try and find Season 1 on DVD, as my wife and I are loving it.

    E PLURIBUS ANUS.

BTW, Joel McHale hosts The Soup in the US, which is like Harry Hill's TV Burp but more sarcastic and without the prop gags. It's worth checking out if you can find it.

The Halloween special was a bit disappointing, really. I did laugh a number of times but it just seemed to start and then was done. A few nice movie references though.

Thanks for the recommendation, I managed to find a few from the last few weeks and they were well worth watching.

No problems. There's another show called The Dish that's kind of a girly version of The Soup. It's not as acidic and biting but it has its moments, too. There's Web Soup (which I don't watch) and Tosh .0 that are also similar-ish things but The Soup is the King.

Mountain Dew and Cheetos! Booze and Hotpants!

It's a shame they don't show The Soup on the UK version of E!.
