Massively dumbed-down sequel confirmed, then. What's next, Virtua Fighter 6 Kinect edition???

How does Move support mean dumbing down?

I can't imagine playing a game like ninja gaiden with motion controls being anything less than hell. It would be easier to wrestle a sex crazed gorilla with a banana up your arse then have fun thrashing about like a tit trying pull off a triple flying swallow.

How? This is NINJA GAIDEN, not uncharted killzone of the dead 3.

Yeah, but it's just an optional shit stick. I doubt they'll be balancing the game around it.

    Quick Look
Then, a longer look trying to find enough bleach to erase the horror.

wtf is that? The sequences could do with being about half as prolonged, the enemies are whiny, or cheap, quantity over quality, the stage backdrop looks bad. All finesse looks to have left the building with Itagaki. :( Hopefully, they just set the difficulty low for this showing - although if they did, why are there so many enemies.

I'm still bummed out about the limd removal, and the new emo Ryu. NG2 Sigma still keeps me happy to this day.

For the amount of blood, the enemies must be perforated worn sponges by the time Ryu's done with them, but they keep their arms and legs and heads, so, no harm done! The "story" appears sort of intrusive as well, there's too much of it. These sequences in NG1/2 were good, because they broke up the action, supported it, and were to the point.

In NG3, they're like mini soap operas, and only serve to leave Ryu standing around looking out-of-place, and worst, just interrupt the action and flow of play. The woman in his ear, I suppose Ryu must have taken to wearing ear-pieces (really, WHO thought that was a good idea) is just so bad, constantly "warning" players of the flaming obvious.

Even where her input could be helpful, for pieces that are clearly introducing new concepts, it doesn't look as if it's really necessary. The "failed ninja" texts of the first game were a FAR better mechanic, because the player who was Ryu, read and learned the technique of their own accord, and were given a non-fatal piece of enemy bare level to practice, until they were satisfied. No, it wouldn't fit in good ol' London town, but I just find voice in the ear distractions to be just that...Distracting.

Just watched the vid, well skimmed it, honestly. that looks really shit, to be honest Ninja Blade looks better.

It's like they wanted to make to most mundane game in the most mundane locations with the most mundane enemies (yay soldiers!).

Unless I see some significant turns toward the absurd, I'm gonna....I going to buy it anyway.

    But fuck sake Team Ninja.

Well if the stealth had an ounce of Tenchu about it fine, but the series has never been that way, it just looks boring.

Maybe some later stages and different weapons might excite me a bit more.

Tecmo Koei Europe have revealed the pack art for the game and there must actually be a lot of blood in it because the BBFC have given the game an 18 rating.

Every time I see one of these titles, I cant help but mis-read it as Ninja Garden...

I can see a whole new franchise there for the Harvest Moon people...
Grow a stealth garden. Roses whose thorns are tipped with poison, and yet which are perfectly balanced for throwing...

@MightyMetalMonkey I think they did something a bit like that in the first Shinobido on PS2 - you could build a fortress, and sometimes some enemy ninjas were invading it. Maybe you could plant some ninja roses and breed some ninja pinatas, I can't remember.

total lack of new footage, looks like Genshin somehow survives his multiple deaths in NG2 and we go to Jurrassic Park?

Quite looking forward to it, expectations lowered dramatically though.

Really wish I could look forward to another Gaiden game but this one seems to have been made for the people that can't play games unless they have a QTE slapped on the screen every couple of seconds.
Also they seem to have given the character a demon arm or some crap.
    I'll just play NG2 again.

Fingers are crossed that I'm wrong about it and it turns out to be awesome though.

Yeah basically they've changed so much I'm not going to moan any more, just take it as it is and hopefully just enjoy what they have made.

Nearly finished NGS2 on Master ninja, which is fun apart from the shitty bosses and the bonus levels which are all gash.

That seems an odd choice to me. Unless it isn't that unusual and I've just happened to miss the games which did it. ;)

Since NG fans are traditionally only interested in playing the highest difficulty level, this is, well,... let's just say it better be free DLC.

No, they'll be back as DLC, of course.

EDIT: I'm not joking, it's been all but confirmed.

Paying for difficulty levels would be ridiculous.
