Registered 3 years agoPretty good franchise to revive. Perhaps more suited to xbla than full release?
I enjoyed the ps2 game- what it lacked in polish/finesse it made up for in sheer craziness. Loved those huge enemies and rockets that took down buildings.
Edit - yes, its all coming back to me now. Shooting down Big Ben because there was an ant on it.gif)
Don't think I played the sequel.

Tried to go back and finish Global Defence Force the other day, but struggled with the horrible framerate. Wasn't the most stable of PS2 games anyway, but that wasn't helped by the fact that it's been a while since I played a last gen game and have been spoiled by HD and solid 30/60 fps. It's great to hear a new one's out! -

Registered 7 years agoEarth Defense Force is a cooperative arcade shooter that gets your blood flowing by throwing thousands of giant bugs at you. Over 150 weapons will help you to squash the invasion -- and the entire city of New Detroit thanks to the destructible environments. Now up to three players can battle through the campaign online (the first EDF only allowed for two). There will also be a Survival mode for six players.
Coming out in the Spring for the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3.
Oh, and the game will have jetpacks. -
