Remember this teaser, well this is the game :)

Prepare for a different kind of poker night in a very different kind of club. In Poker Night at the Inventory, you'll deal with Penny Arcade's clever, cunning Tycho, Team Fortress 2's hulking Heavy, Homestar Runner's self-proclaimed "awesome icon" Strong Bad and the hyperkinetic "rabbity-thing" from Sam & Max. These characters come together in ways some never thought possible, in a setting few would have predicted. You'll experience a new style of poker, particularly when hands don't go the way of the other fiery competitors at the table.

Oh good, I'm glad it's the really disappointing idea that everyone thought it was.

Go and play their existing poker game and find out.

It's only 3 - definitely worth a gamble. If it sucks, no great loss - and there'll probably be some kind of TF2 item as a result.

I don't really get these standalone Poker games, why not play something like Full Tilt or PKR for play money against real people? Full Tilt even has a proper training site now.

Sometimes you want to play against cpu characters for the fun of it, it's fun in a different way not that hard to understand really.

I'd want to play it just for Strongbad - but the game itself will most likely be balls.

    I'm a grumpy bastard.

Just spent two hours playing it for two items.

It's actually quite good. That Strong bad character is hilarious.

Yeah good game while there's not a lot of lines in the dialogue what's there is quite funny. Although my best bit so far was maxs face on the giraffes lines.

Have you had the Heavy story yet? I think that's my favourite so far.

    Got all the items.

Now to do the rest of the achievements.

I wish I knew how to play Poker.

It's quite good isn't it :) I suck at poker but it's a decent way to brush up on the game and the conversations round the table do raise a chuckle or two. Decent waste of 4 then.

This is a surprisingly good game, especially considering it was made by seven people over three months.

Telltale can pump games out like there's no tomorrow.

It's awful. It's cheap and the dialogue is funny, but there's not enough of it and it's one of the worst poker simulations I've ever played. You can win by basically just going all in as soon as you have a decent flop, 50% of the time everyone else goes all in with absolutely nothing. As there's virtually no AI involved (certainly no individual betting strategies, it's virtually random what's happening) you're not even really playing poker.

It's a 4 soundboard with a really really shit game attached to it.

    @meme

It's only worth it for the TF2 items,

If you don't play TF2 then it's a bit rubbish.

Poker Night 2! Claptrap! GlaDOS! Ash!

  • Deleted user 3 April 2013 19:39:56
A non-Bruce Campbell Ash just seems like a waste of time. Wonder if they'll actually remember to put in actual poker this time.
