I love it when he's walking through the factory with a bag of his pulped book.

Registered 5 years agoThey had an episode of the radio series of Knowing Me, Knowing You on that 4Extra Day Today tribute today. It was the one with the precocious child, the hypnotist and the lawyer on. I know it's predominantly scripted, but Coogan be utterly masterful in front of a live audience, hanging them all on his every ill-chosen phrase.Playing all the right notes— but not necessarily in the right order.

Registered 11 years agoDownloaded the book on Thurs, it's as awful and excellent as you can imagine - will probably get the audiobook too, for full Partridge effect.
Finally a reason for the ITV catch-up thing!

Registered 9 years agoSat in my custom-built chill-out room. The kinda place where you just come in, flop down on a big chair, chew a sandwich, and get pissed.
It has a wicker box full of tracky bottoms and big T-shirts, a bowl of scotch eggs in one corner and a caraffe of home brew in the other.
And I’ve stuck luminous stickers of the moon & stars on the ceiling, so you get an accurate view of the heavens but in a secure environment.
It’s a good room. It makes me feel very good. -

Registered 10 years agoI have the book btw, but I’m struggling to read it. It’s just relentless. Too much Alan.
Might make a good toilet book to read in very small sessions, but I just can’t read it in the same way I normally read books.
It would be a superb audiobook though, so might just go for that.
