    Some of the shit the Helicopters can do is pretty fucking OP, agreed but I think the laser designation and Javelin could be out and it would be a more skill based game.

    You can almost control everything like a 360, just the loadout menu's you need a mouse and keyboard for. If you never need to change your loadout, you can always use the controller to select your spawn point and spawn.
    You'll get pwned, though. I use it and have to stick to vehicles or engi just to survive and get points.

    Because aiming on a controller is much more diffiult that aiming with a mouse, you will lose pretty muchh every one on one. I prefer a controller for vehicles, but I would strongly recommend using kb&m for the on-foot parts.

    And definitely get the pc version over the 360 one. I've played both and the 360 version really is poor in comparison (and not just he graphics). Most of the maps are designed with more players in mind.

    Yeah don't get 360 version as nearly all themaps are boring on conquest. I wish I could play on pc!

    Awesome, cheers andy! I'm all up for keyboard and mouse. I had modern warfare 2 on pc and sucked with KB+M and as soon as i played on 360 i was miles better. I'm guessing BF3 isn't as twitchy though so i'll prob get on with KB+M.

    Will prob pick this up on PC real soon then!

    Playing the PC version with an Xbox controller is punishment, I speak from experience. I also recommend a mouse with more than three buttons.

    Some people do find playing with a controller easier, but remember that if you play against people who are used to kb&m then they will be able to react very quickly compared to you.

    I have recently come back to PC gaming after a 7 year break, and it took me quite a few hours to get used to aiming with a mouse again. Getting a gaming mouse helped, even though it was only a cheap one (£20). Just be prepared to die quite a lot until you get used to it!

    Yeah, so am I. PC version is nails compared to the Xbox, I played for an hour last night and got my arse handed to me. I can't control the guns for shit with a mouse, I've apparently played 36 hours on the PC version but it doesn't feel like it.

    It's the quickness of people on the PC version that gets me. Half the time you stick your head out from cover and you're dead within half a second, it's mental. I was playing TDM last night and this level 100 kept murdering me with the M16 within 5 seconds of me spawning. He had 100 service stars with the M16. It's unlike anything you encounter on the Xbox version.

    I play almost every day on PC and I'm fairly good.

    I have yet to get Premium for it, though, which makes finding a suitable server with a decent player count and ping pretty difficult.

    I think the premium pass is only £20 at the moment - it's well worth getting, there really is a lot of content. Be prepared to be downloading for a long time though.

    If I've not played for a while, I usually warm up by playing something like Gun Master or Scavenger for a while. It seems to help me get back into the feel of the game. The fast pace allows for a lot of shooting practice in a short time.

    Oh I know. I want to get it, but at the moment I've got absolutely no spare money. Hopefully I'll have Premium before BF4, though. :/

    If you get Premium now, it comes with access to the BF4 beta.
