Registered 11 years agoAnybody having problems with the guest passes? I get "The authentication key you entered cannot be claimed. Please try again." whenever I try the one mingster kindly sent me.You cannot stop me with paramecium alone!

Registered 10 years agoI've only just completed the tutorial.
But i am also extremely impressed with how nice and lush it looks and sounds.
I'm running it on a 42" samsung TV at 1024x768 sitting a few meters away on the couch and can read all the text perfectly which is great.
PC couch gaming FTW! -

FRICKIN AWESOME!
An unobtrusive message popped up to tell me someone had added me from the EG forum while i was playing the simgle player campaign.
That's some great integration. Most impressive.
The battle.net tracking of statistics (Although i haven't played multiplayer yet)
Is very will integrated and really nice.
There's a whole set of easy tutorials with nice clean tips and even tutorial movies ingame you can review. Difficulty levels from Casual to Veteran.
Very good for easing people into the game.
There's whole leagues online for beginners so don't be worrying about those ELite Koreans you won't have to deal with them if your a noob.
Has to be the best matchmaking for a multiplayer game based on ability ever created.
As it's so tied into your Battle.net account ther's way less chance of cheating and pros pretending to be noobs. Makes you feel safer trying multiplayer if like most people you find it intimidating.
Ther's some form of party creation using friends invites as well as facebook integration (Not required) with an online chat function built in game. You can watch other peoples videos of their matches.
There's things to unlock like portaits and decals. And achievements to unlock.
I haven't found the Challenge Mode yet but this should add some decent longevity to the single player. Giving you special scenarios you have to fulfill. As well as training you in advanced tactics to help your game.
Obviously there is a full skirmish mode as well. Any fears of the Single player being not substantial are unfounded.
The cutscenes are gorgeous.
It supports swapping back to websites or your desktop to check forums very well with the game running in the background. No crashing so far.
This has to get a 9 on EG i'm going to put my neck out and predict it scores a 10 and i've not even done the first level.
It's just so slick not just graphically but the whole package.
Then again what else do you expect from Blizzard and a £100M development cost.
Definate must buy if your a PC game player.

Sure we moan about Blizzard's painfully long development cycles and stranglehold on the gaming world with WoW... but my god do they know how to make good games.
Playing SC2 is making me so, so, so excited by how good Diablo 3 is probably going to be now... -

Registered 7 years agoFirst class old skool RTS gaming. I dig it very very much. All the achievements, 'talents' if you will (the cred bought abilities and perks) are icing on the cake.
When I played SC1 I was still in college and wasting my nights away on that one, playing this one felt really weird since I now have kids, a mortgage and other assorted brick walls around my neck. A lifetime passed lol.
Intermittently up for MP, allthough I probably totally suck compared to other pro people. Name's Morcane, code is 970. -

Don't get too good while I wait, as I'm useless at all known games.

Just been doing the basic challenges and they are really nice, they teach you what units are best against each other. Great bit of info that for me at least. Much better than having to read up on a forum and then practise in a match.
