Was very much a re-group & set-up episode, but that's fair enough. As ever, a pleasure. Many new threads of plot to unravel.

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

Yeah...No sight of Chalky White, which is fair as I doubt they'd invite him to that party but also curiously no sign of Eli Thompson which I found quite odd...

Nice of them to include a proper psycho for some extra thrills...

The show doesn't have a single truly likable character.

That's pretty impressive to be honest. Having your main character be such a twat is pretty significant too.

Guy is a cold-blooded killer though. Possibly the most cold-blooded killer on the show, which says a lot.

Yeah he's not your Flash Gordon hero admittedly, but these shows seldom have those characters.

I'm sure I saw Eli in one of the shots, weird.

I do like Richard (half-face), he's only cold-blooded when he's doing his job. Do wonder about him & Gillian though, she's such a twisted viper. The stuff she's feeding the kid? I mean, he knows who his dad is, right? How is that going to play out when he's older? Turning the big house into a knocking shop was a smart idea though, wonder if Nucky is getting a cut?

I did like Manny, even after his revenge actions. The bit with his wife was sweet. RIP, you chubby psycho

Wonder if that canine gift from new psycho is going to bite Nucky on the arse in the future (figuratively speaking) ?

Okay, I am now officially in love with Meg Chambers Steedle (Billie Kent).

And decent enough ep, clearly not a major one though, more of a character/story developer.

Oh and the pedant in me wants someone to change the thread title. It's not 'The' and it's not a mafia drama (it's a period drama with a few mob characters).

    Great episode.

Rosetti is an amazing character. Brilliantly written, masterfully acted. The tension is almost unbearable in some of his scenes.

I guess he wanted Nucky to know that Manny's hit was personal, clear the air and let Nucky know that he wasnt coming after him. It pissed him off that someone was trying to use it for business purposes.

Harrow is such an amazingly bad ass character.

    Valar morghulis.

Two episodes into the new season and I remain staggered at the quality. It really is on its way to being able to stand proudly next to The Sopranos in my affections.

Rosetti is a fantastic introduction, adding that touch of menace to every scene he's in. Reminds me a little of the introduction of Richie Aprile in The Sopranos.

When you can't see the angles on the wall you're in trouble.

Nucky is so cold. He's making the same mistakes with Owen as he did with Jimmy. They are both footsoldiers, not leaders, he has nothing to fear from them, but by mistrusting them, expecting them to have ambitions to knock him off the top, he's offending them & making a self-fulfilling prophesy.

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

Nope, that's not it. Just remembered it was Third Watch. Hate it when I can't place an actor I've seen previously. :)

Blimey. That's an image of Rosetti that will be hard to forget.

Another great episode. Almost too many stories to tell.

Lovely to see Milton from Office Space again.

They both looked so damn fly.

Still haunted by the image of certain blood-flecked member swinging about.

Great episode, this season has got off to a fantastic start. And to think, I thought Darmady's exit was going to really hurt the show. Crazy Gyp (and his big ole swinging dong) seems to be an even better addition to the cast. Can't wait to see what he does next episode, he's fucking insane as it is, after a failed assassination attempt he'll be wild!
