If anyone finds a way to use different profiles so two people can play the game (not at the same time, obviously), I'd be grateful. Turned off cloud-saving and used different Windows profiles, but it didn't help, it seems to save directly in the Steam folder and use that save no matter what.

    @SlackMaster

Oh yeah I know that, but rod set a contract where the target has to be killed in an accident, no disguises and not spotted.

Argh! I hate when devs do that, It's bad enough these damn DRM clients only allow one user on a account but when the games themselves stop you playing with people in your own house to it's worse.

Unfortunately I don't think can you do it at all (well another version from certain dodgy seas would give you a way to do it but not really a "solution" ). If the game itself doesn't let you have different profiles or saves you are stuck, one has to wait or you conveniently need to buy another copy for them.

@bad09 Annoying, isn't it. One user profile, one automated save, that's it.

I'm pretty sure this is a decent Hitman game as I'm just as crap at doing things 'properly' as in previous games.

Getting Silent Assassin on the King of Chinatown level has absolutely nothing to do with me playing that level twice at the EG Expo.

    *cough*

    Haha, yes. :)

Finding this quite excellent so far, I like how one level flows into another, and I find the mechanics where people of the same group can see through your disguise reasonably convincing. Might need some balancing though as they are a bit too eagle-eyed.

Yeah, levels are a bit small and I don't see the brilliancy of Blood Money's level design yet, but it's a lot of fun, very polished, and I am amazed by the gazillion of different things people say to you. Bright sunlight isn't the game's strongest point, graphically, but the (almost) dark building I am in right now looks absolutely spectacular.

For the achievement to complete the game on professional, does anyone know if that requires one continuous playthrough, or can you go back and replay individual missions at different difficulties ala Halo?

have to say I amreally enjoying this it's a bit different than the previous titles but still fun...especially since i turned off the hints and the magical flaming paths of patrol.

So far I'm not sure what I think about this. Although the previous games were brilliant, they could be frustrating at times.

When Absolution gets it right, it can be as good as the previous games.

The cover mechanic is a good addition although it's relied on too much for stealth. Blending in with a crowd is handled brilliantly. I'm not too keen on the instinct meter and the requirement to use some of its abilities at times.

As others have said, escaping the police isn't much fun, although I loved the last section of that part, where you finally slip away.

The storyline, characterisation and cut scenes seem a little off, although I quite like the people who currently appear to be the antagonists. I'm not very far in, so things could change in that respect.

It's definitely still Hitman. At least sometimes.

Getting over 30fps at all times with everything on ultra, MSAA off and FXAA on. It looks lovely.

The world is going mad. Me? I'm doing fine.

I am actually not so sure about this one, it seems superfluous - why am I not simply in cover when I am crouched behind cover instead of having to press a further button for "sticky" cover? It would simplify the controls without sacrificing any depth.

I like it when I've ballsed up my approach and end up in a shootout. I also quite like the ability to quickly move between cover points, though it is overpowered. What I don't like is the way it makes you magically extra-hidden at times.

I haven't got the game yet (getting it today hopefully). I was just wondering about the "escape" missions I've read about, where 47 is being hunted and needs to get out without being seen (these do exist right? Or have I misread), are these a different sort of stage? Is there still a target to kill?

I wondered why 47 was humming "Angels" during one level.*

I don't know about anyone else and some critics have slammed this quite a bit for being a different experience and set up from previous games but I'm enjoying the hell of out this.

Not sure if I like the "Inception horn" heavy soundtrack or not, I'm leaning towards liking it to be honest.

My two cents; as a stealth game it's average and alright if you like that sort of thing. As a Hitman game, barring a few exceptions that almost get there, it's just not.

If it doesn't have a mini-gun in a jungle sequence I will be a little disappointed, that's proper Hitman.

People keep saying this, but 83/100 on Metacritic doesnt mean its got "slammed" IMO.

    Personally, i think its excellent.

I finally got a copy... now to get through after work drinks.

I keep reading people moaning about the disguise system. Is it really bad enough to warrant a patch?
