    Been playing for a few more hours, read a few reviews too.

    So far, in my opinion, the CVG review sums the game up better.

    They seem to focus more on the positives and genuinely seemed to enjoy the game.

    Yes and no.

    It does force you to replay huge swathes of a level, but at the same time you could say it forces you to be more forward-planning and cautious.

    I'm really concerned about this now, it sounds really linear. I loved Blood Money for the randomness of being able to do things like seeing if I could kill everyone on the FBI witness' estate to demonstrate not even the Feds could stop me, and bundle the bodies into the garbage truck at the end of the estate to get them crushed (yes even you, mr Clown).

    How on earth am I supposed to be able to get the Fugu fish in the Chinatown level without being seen?

    Terminus and Run For Your Life have been about as enjoyable as an STD.

    I didn't like Blood Money. Once I realised I could complete a level quickly and easily by killing everyone, that's what I did.

    I understand I missed out on experimentation, but I was doing what I felt was the most efficient thing.

    It's always been about setting your own challenges, imo. You have to make yourself do it without shooting any guns, or without killing any bystanders, or whatever. If you're not up for doing that then I guess it won't be very fun.

    Has anyone tried the enb mod thing for Blood Money? If I can pretty it up I reckon I might play through it again!

    Review scores are all over the damn place. You guys need to give some unbiased reviews. Has anyone posted a review yet? (i will check a few pages back if so)

    I quite liked Terminus. Huge amount of ways to get to your objective.

    The best way to describe the game is it feels like splinter cell conviction with assassination objectives.
    Strange mix but seems to work very well IMO.

    Except I think I enjoyed the Police bits even less.

    Run for your life is rather tedious. Even on lower difficulties, the library feels far too overpopulated with police.

    The Contracts mode is starting to come into its own... and I had no idea it existed until I started up the game. I've put a fairly fiendish one in to kill three policemen in Chinatown.

    I like the fact you have to prove it's possible by completing it yourself, before it allows you to submit it.

    I'm midway through part-two now. Like the game a lot (hey, it's keeping me off Dark Souls); feels a little different to earlier titles... so let's hope that HD repackage happens as well.

    Seriously can't wait wanted to order from shop2 but due to technical probs on the site couldn't order:( so have to wait till tuesday and will need to pay high street price as want this game right away also looking forward to the hd collection

    I don't like the three missions starting from Run From Your Life onwards. Starting each level where everyone is on the lookout for you already feels a bit anathema to the spirit of Hitman, and the tension - combined with the high population of roaming guards - makes it difficult to properly explore the layout of a level and plan your route through. Using instinct becomes pretty much essential, but the game seems to be a bit arbitrary as to whether it even works or not or not.

    It took over a dozen restarts just to get through the drug den section of rfyl on Expert, and even then I ended up in several unwanted fistfights because the game cant seem to decide when you can subdue and when you need to attack.

    I can see what they were going for with rfyl - four separate areas, thematically different, an increased sense of tension, etc. but it just doesnt work.

    I would rather those four (well three, lets ignore that awful section escaping the helicopter) were fleshed out into entire levels. As it is, it sort of feels like concepts they thought were cool but werent sure what to do with.

    I've played all Hitman games, however I only completed the first two. I'd say that this is still a Hitman game. The only reason this gets compared to SC: Conviction is the mark an execute like move that the game has that uses a chunk of your instinct bar.

    This is handy to use if things go wrong but you don't have to use this and it can be taken away entriely on harder difficulty levels.

    Is the "hand-holding" stuff off by default on the harder difficulties?

    I'm thinking I'll go straight into the hardest difficulty, or has enough changed since Blood Money for that to not be advisable?

    I've basically given up trying to play the police sections stealthily, and just shoot them all. They're just rubbish, pointless and not worth the hassle.

    I thought that might be the end of them following RFYL, but noooooo.
