    I got my copy in the post from Shopto fingers crossed comes tomorrow if not then Monday 47 will be going on a few mass murders to get over not getting tomorrow

    I'm hoping you can still force a Hitman game out of it, even if it takes a lot of willpower and patience. Going to play it that way and hope the DNA is still there....... Shopto for me too so may see it monday too.

    Afaik, it's just one of many options how to kill that target, and QTEs are understandable seeing how the game will hardly have a sophisticated fisticuffs system . Could still be a well designed level.

    Mind, seeing how I always had a love/hate relationship with Hitman until Blood Money, which I think has probably the smartest level design of any game ever, I am as worried as anyone else after the PC Gamer review, but I can't really draw any negative conclusions from that video as such.

    Will see what the reviews are like but the videos out there don't look good...

    Still, the HD collection is out soon & they can't mess that up surely...

    I do kind of vaguely. I think I did for the level or map or arcade preorder thing you were supposed to get. I never fucking got it.

    Anyway, I thought the last splinter cell was superb when everyone else hated it, so maybe I'll like this.
    If it was Shopto & the preorder Sniper challenge then the d/l code was available within your Shopto account/order history too. Quite enjoyed it for a bit.

    OMG look at that wrestling footage :-( So sick of QTEs and having them in Hitman?? Jesus

    Still despite cancelling my Birthday pressie it looks like I'll still get this next week as Mrs bad09 has bought it for me as an late extra one today (end of the year really is Christmas for me with games :) ). Got the others installed so might put everything on hold and do some killing before getting disappointed with the new one

    I hope the performance isn't as bad as PC Gamer make out.

    Ah, my copy has arrived.

    Latest Edge gave it 7 (it's just arrived through the post).

    "At it's worst, Absolution is never less than a solid action-stealth title".
    "But if many of Absolutions additions are misguided, contracts isn't one of them"

    Overall, it's been diluted by fashionable trappings of other stealth titles that have intruded upon the series.

    It seems as though the title is saved by the amazing MP. Who would have guessed.

    Well, I just did the second mission and I can confirm something for all the doubters :

    This is definitely a Hitman game.

    Same concept and execution as the others, but this time with a fancy new engine and a few new bells and whistles.

    Really enjoying it so far.

    Im on the fourth and Ultrasoundwave is correct the game plays like a hitman game yes not all the levels play like your going after a hit but you play then as you like guns blazing or silent.

    I want to give contracts a crack but want to complete the story first.

    Playing it on Hard are yes it is very hard trying to find everything. Ive set instinct mode so I can see people but no paths or hints which adds a nice extra challenge.
