Is that your way of telling me the place to go? -

Registered 7 years agoMmm. It's less telling your where to go, and more like sayingYou agree and undertake that you will not upload, submit, transmit, post or otherwise place User Content nor make any communication or post to or transmit to Eurogamer.net any statement or material that:
...maybe you should consider giving yourself a temporary ban?
is unlawful or which gives rise to civil or criminal liability;

Ya got me all wrong, I am an innocent man!

Registered 7 years agoJudge: Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, have you reached a verdict?
Foreman: We have, m'lud.
Judge: And how do you find the defendant? Two words... First word... Rope? String?
Counsel: Point?
Clerk: Belt?
Judge: Tie?
Counsel: Cravat? Silk square?
Clerk: Knot?
All: Knot!
Judge: Second word. Two syllables... First syllable... Bird?
Clerk: Swimmer?
Judge: Breast stroke.
Counsel: Brian Phelps.
Judge: No, no, no, he was a diver.
Clerk: Esther Williams then!
Judge: No, no, don't be silly. How can you find someone 'Not Esther Williams?'
Counsel: Fish! Fish wheeze. Fish wheeze?
Judge: Fish breathe.
Counsel: Fish breathe, throat.
Judge: Fish breathe, throat? GILL! Not gill. Second syllable. Not gill.
Counsel: Drink.
Clerk: Sip? Imbibe?
Judge: Not gill ... cup?ツ

Registered 10 years agoSo, am probably going to go for one of these, as it'll be much cheaper than the iPhone and a change is good as a rest as they say. What's the deal with video file formats? Do I faff about decoding, or can I just lump avi/mkvs on and be done with it? -

Registered 7 years agoLump away as far as I can tell with mine. You going for the S2 rather than the S, right? -

Registered 7 years agoYeah, lump away on the S2. Keepvid is a good app from marketplace for downloading videos from websites. -

Registered 10 years agoYeah, MKVs play fine, yet stutter on my reasonably recent (albeit cheapo) media centre PC, which is rather mental. My phone is more powerful than my PC! -

Registered 7 years agoIt is ridiculously light. The back plate wouldn't inspire any confidence at all but it all holds together very well. I've dropped it loads of times (once it bounced all the way down the wooden stairs onto tiles below) and has stayed intact and hasn't even turned off. There have been a few niggles here and there though. -

Registered 7 years agoShit, sorry Dougs. It was turning itself off for some reason fairly regularly when I had an SD card in it. I think it had something to do with the same card having being used on my previous phone (Samsung Wave) and still having files created by it. No problems with a clean SD card.
Very (very) occasionally it doesn't charge despite being plugged in but instead heats up considerably. Reset sorts that.
If you use Opera Mini a lot either don't have the screen at max brightness or don't have the nav bar on permanently as I have a shadow of it burned in to the screen now. This probably holds for most phones with bright screens though. -

This is true. I've been a bit lazy working out which app is causing it. The screen thing is a bit unexpected/disappointing though. Still love the device and will probably pick up the HDMI adapter soon.
None of those problems on my end. Any "overheating" will be due to a bad app that's stuck at 50% CPU usage. The same thing happens on iPhones with dodgy apps. -

Registered 3 years agoI get spontaneous turn offs and reboots occasionally from my S2. The music player seems to be one reboot culprit after playing for a couple of hours straight. -

Registered 10 years agoI'm already on voda and can't be arsed pissing about trying to keep my number (how do you get a PAC to stay on the same network?!), so would rather Voda did it directly. Predictably, I can't upgrade online due to a system error. -
