And they sneakily tried to fool you by putting "app store" on the front which leads to the shitty orange store, and hid the proper android stuff behind layers of menus.
Doesn't seem too bad on Voda (a few random apps that you can delete), but I have no real comparison.
Being unable to delete their shitty demos was the worst as the phone had a silly small internal memory, and some apps had to be installed to that only.

It's hard to take that seriously when their gadget of the year is covered in a thick layer of dust in most people's homes.

"Outstanding Contribution to Technology: David Attenborough"
Did he invent some new way of invading cute little animals' privacy? -

Slightly bewildered / overwhelmed as I was upgrading from a K800i o_o
The GPS / maps function is awesome when you don't trust the local ( Bangkok ) taxi drivers

Registered 7 years agoSeems my GS2 is on its way out
Screen keeps flickering
100% charge icon stays too long
When Powers off you see an alert triangle and a picture of a thermometer
Its a pain to get it to turn on from that state
When it does it enters MTP mode
Orange guy says its knackered and needs sending back to Carphone Warehouse

Registered 7 years agoThe SG2 is fantastic I've never been into all the smart phone stuff but I do really luv it, and at the moment its working fine, just the last two times I tried to charge it. Personally I thought it was the battery but more I read it might be the usb port -

Everyone I know with one loves it, so I guess we cancel each other out, cosmically speaking.

Registered 10 years agoThe original S had some issues with lag and an overbearing, performance-harming Touchwiz interface - both fixable, though. The American versions of the SGS were treated pretty horribly, though - massively late updates and locked down. -

Not planning on rushing into ICS but I am interested in a tweaked version of gingerbread still with touchwiz to get my head around the process. Most of the stuff I've paid for is off the market but got a feeling I did buy something from my carrier's market when I first got the phone. Wondering if I'll lose that. -

The Panorama feature seems pretty neat, difficult to do at first but slow right down and you can produce some good results. -

Registered 8 years agoAm running ICS on my S2 just now,
A few nice improvements.
The best of which is that it now 3-5 days between charges.
Make sure you back up all your data before you upgrade though, and pull the sim/mem card. -

Registered 8 years agoCouldn't be arsed with experimenting at the moment, happy enough with checkrom v6.
They have started development on v7 over the top of the leaked rom and will migrate that onto the final ICS rom when it's released. -
