Epic fail. He has about as much menace as a GMTV presenter.

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.

He was actually pretty good in DeadWood on the menace front I thought. He has done nothing of note since though.

I was just about to say that, re: Deadwood. Not the greatest actor in the world, but he sure knows how to represent that "I may look harmless, but I might explode any moment" attitude.

He was in a small indie flick called Die Hard 4 a few years back. Also the Hitman movie.

    I heard he was dead.

    This space left intentionally blank.

He was pretty piss poor in Die Hard 4 (although thats not saying much) and he was a blank slate in Hitman.

My man gives real loving that's why I call him Killer
    He's not a wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am, he's a thriller

He was in The Crazies remake last year, though he played a cop...and was about as cool and menacing as a cup of lard.

He is an amazing actor. A talented guy. And hes incredibly funny. He needs to do a great comedy, because he is a funny guy.
I sincerely hope Eisner didn't envision this remake as a PG12 action comedy.

the script (...) "nailed the humour in Plissken without slipping into camp"
    Oh dear.

Speaking recently to ComingSoon, Eisner explained other changes, which include setting the movie in a penal colony rather than a post-apocalyptic New York.
    What?

I think he's quite a good actor as it goes. Saw him in some bog standard film about honeymooners that go wrong and he was ace.

Why would they call it Escape from New York if he's not escaping from New York?

Coming soon from the director of the smash hit Sahara:

    Escape from A Penal Colony!

FWIW, the linked article (or Eisner) isn't exactly clear where the film will be set.

Probably won't be Timothy Olyphant but who knows.

Joel Silver doing a trilogy reboot now

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.

Len Wiseman was planning a version that would have starred Gerard Butler in the Plissken role.

    He gets that a lot.

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.
