Have any of the gang got one of these for their little 'uns?

If so did you buy or build?

I'm tempting myself to build this bad boy!

Looks more substantial then the shop bought kits and I can customise it to my standards too.

Very similar to the one I built! Well - I bought a kit, painted it and put it together. Top tip: paint it *before* you put it together - much easier and quicker!

I'll find a photo and post it.

Appreciated otto, where did you buy the kit from?

With the plans I posted I would have to buy the timber stock and cut it to size myself. It wouldn't be a problem as I have a table mounted angular saw. Its more the time it would take to prepare the stock that would be annoying...

I bought a mock-parquet lino offcut and put it on the floor, bought an IKEA kiddies kitchen set and table & chairs, it's a proper little haven for them.

We got a plastic one from B&Q eons ago. It's had sporadic use but now it's used as a garage for the youngest ones ride on car thing :D

Of all the various garden stuff we have bought over the years, the trampoline is by far and away the most used and best VFM in our house. They love it.

If we got a trampoline we'd have no garden left - it's tiny! If we ever move and get a bigger garden I would consider it though.

Me and the brother in law got drunk and put together a treehouse on stilts type thing a couple of years ago. No plans, just a big pile of 4x4 stabs and some cladding. Still needs painted and could do with some finishing touches. Can't find any decent pics but it's in the [link=http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4102/4756965827_e431e0b80c_b.jpg">background in this one and

Brilliant otto. It seems EG kids are very lucky doesn't it?

I had lots of things as a child but I never had a proper fort/playhouse...

I added a third image with the platform taking shape to my Picasa today.

    Link.

Decking should follow in a week or so when I get bit more free time. Then the actual wendyhouse will come together shortly after that.

That looks amazing - serious construction work! I just bunged mine on some more-or-less-level railway sleepers!

That's just asking for a trap door to be put in :)

We uncovered the foxes' den under the decking while doing some major landscaping this summer - in one corner we found 17 balls, all carefully piled together! I'm not sure what they were doing with them....

Here's a closeup, haha. Today the shed people came and dismantled it and moved it to our new house (we're moving next week), all afternoon the poor foxes were wandering around in a daze sniffing at the bare patch where the playhouse had been! I felt really sorry for them. :D
