    I was fully intending to play this with Japanese dialogue and English subtitles as I would with any anime films but really I think it'll be English for me, someone convince me otherwise. I feel dirty writing it but it seems like the right decisions somehow.

    The localisation of Dragon Quest VIII was great and I'm sure this will be too. Mr. Drippy is Welsh for fuck's sake!

    Exactly, that is the thing that has made me want to play it with the localisation. It just felt weird him using all these Welshisms and then reading them when they would be better not subtitled. Considering I'm sure he'll be a companion for a while I think it's the English audio track for me.

    Had to look that up, indeed I'm not but generally I find the dubs of Japanese anime to be annoying or just plain God awful and it seems important to have the intonation of the language while having a fairly reasonable translation, whereas with this it seems like it will work better with the localised version.

    English audio all the way. Mr. Drippy's Welsh voice is brilliant. I can't fault the rest of the cast so far either. I just can't see it being anywhere near as entertaining with Japanese voices.

    Can't wait for Mr Drippy, was doing fan pics with the kids last night.

    I read that the original voice for him was a South Osaka regional accent, an area associated with coal mining.
    I'm happy they went Welsh. (thank fuck not Yorkshire;p)

    Cute they maybe but they're not that easy to kill, this is no kids game.

    One issue I have though is the respawning enemies. Kill an enemy in a dungeon, walk around the corner, walk back and they've reappeared. That's pretty ridiculous. For the most part it's impossible to avoid them too due to the narrow 'corridor' nature of the dungeons (which is a disappointment). It's like Dark Cloud all over again.

    This is really good and i love the world map. How i've missed you!!! Really good so far finally got the hang if the familars which now makes battles easy.

    I'd guess that it is supposed to look that way.

    Really want this game but I have no patience for turned based battles (or semi in this case) and leveling up. Just don't have time or patience anymore. Wish it had an easy mode so I could just enjoy the world and story and blitz through the grind.

    My play.com pre-order got cancelled. The fuckers. The place is so unbelievably shit since the buyout. Good riddance when they close down.

    Shopto are also a bit cheeky charging 80 quid for it.

    @UncleLou yeah I know it has, but reviews have still said the easy mode is tough. Especially the boss battles. I'm looking for ultra easy peasie mode I guess!
