Registered 7 years agoGot this Christmas day. Damn it's good fun. Tough as old boots but great in multiplayer. So far im preferring it to galaxy 2. -

Registered 4 years agoAs someone who seldom makes use of multiplayer, what happens exactly? In 1 player Diddy is a power up, how much independence does he have? Can he use his jetpack on his own?
I still cuss the absence of animal buddies bar Rambi. Are there any under water sections at all? -

Registered 4 years agoI think I'm being a bit of an old git saying that I want more animals, want the Kongs to work the same way as in the previous 3 games so Diddy isn't just a powerup and water levels. It feels like more of a spin-off. -

Registered 4 years agoWhat a fantastic game to play over the holidays!
So much care and thought has been poured into it. Some of the finest level design ive seen in a long, long time. Difficulty is spot on, rewarding perseverance and skill. Exploration is equally acknowledged. Just phenomenal!
I agree with ecosse, DKCR gang rapes NSMBWii!I collect spores, molds and fungus

Registered 8 years agoGoes to show that if Other M had been handed over to Retro, we could have had possibly the greatest 2D Metroid since Shadow Complex
Well, they would have done a darn sight better than Team Ninja, silly Nintendo!I'm papercaves on the Twitter

Registered 4 years agoYeah, Retro are one of the best developers out there. Im really hoping Nintendo offer them Star Fox in the future, Retro would do a wonderful job.I collect spores, molds and fungus

Registered 11 years agoRetro do seem to have "it". Star Fox I think would be a good choice for them. If they could pull it off it really would be a terrific game. -

Registered 7 years agoI dunno, maybe if they did Star Fox they'd follow the path of their predecessor. It's a cursed licence now! -

Registered 11 years agoRare? In fairness SFA started off as a non-Star Fox game and then got converted 3/4 of the way through. An HD SF game with online support as a release title for Wii 2 please! -

Yes, and I'd have preferred it that they kept it more true to what they were going to do which was a Zelda-like game.

Then Shigeru was talking about Rare and said he'd love his characters to be in their games so instead of the title 'Dinosaur Planet' and a mysterious protagonist wolf bloke in a hooded coat we got Starfox out of environment which felt a bit cheesy considering how it looked beforehand. Starfox games should be kept t to the cockpit. -

Registered 7 years agogah the damn down button is doing my head in. Im on 4-3, bombs away, which requires you to sit down in your mine car alot, so fustrating when you are pressing down, and either a) donkey doesn't go down, or b) you press down, he goes down, but pops back out and then you die. repeatedly. I got this level, 3/4 memerorised , just having the lttle bit of luck you need to scrape through which is so far eluding me. I am loving this game though.PSN - Cloudsheaven

I too would of liked some water levels. Retro certainly had them in mind, a quick look at the concept art, shows an underwater scene with DK riding a large aquatic life form. I also remember reading that Retro canned the idea of having water levels because they slowed down the experience...or something like that.I collect spores, molds and fungus

The last SF game was by Namco, on the Gamecube and IIRC features a mix of cockpit and on-foot stuff. It was also reportedly a but shit, but I never played it so can't comment.

It wasnt the best but the flying sections were quite good, if they stuck with that it would have been a great rail shooter, instead they opted for the onfoot missions which were quite poor.
