    For those who have not already seen it.

    What are people thinking? I'm quite hyped about this, even though its surely nothing i've not played before!

    Looks brilliant. Really like the visuals too, there were some great touches in there, like the silhouetted Donkey Kong at dusk.

    These were my favourite games as a kid, i can't wait to play it again! in fact, i may whip out the snes and play the 2nd and 3rd one, i think i've lost the 1st one though sadly : (

    Looks pretty good. The only strange thing is that without the fur effects and so on, some, but not all, of the graphics don't really look much better than the original or Jungle Beat, or at least with reference to how I remember them.

    Looks delicious, I've never played a DKC since the GB days. I'm all over it in a Wonder Boy meets Sonic way.

    IGN posted a really good interview with the main players involved with bringing DKC back. I get the impression that this game is in very reliable hands. :)

    That's so, but I was talking more from the position of what was being brought back/how they'd decided to approach the game.

    For instance, they say there is to be no crocs (K.Rool etc - baddies from the originals) which I think is good, because they were really just sort of there, before, that aspect felt inessential, so now it's gone, it's no loss, imo. BUT, the interview also states that they will retain the music/style.
    I wasn't really considering (or doubting) the competency of the studio, before.

    I like the dusk effect too. If they've removed the crocs, I wonder what they'll replace them with? Looks like the levels have been designed from scratch rather than just being a graphical update too.

    It seems the new villains are Tiki masks. It fits for me. Looking forward to see Retro precision added to Donkey Kong beauty.

    Anybody else think graphically this game is looking shit?

    It's far too bright. The originals had a nice darkness about them.

    Nope, some of the videos on gametrailers are cams which are too bright and the colours are fucked, the proper in game footage looks excellent.

    This does look great, but I think I read they are doing 2 player co-op. I hope they dont fuck up the 1UP as a result with level design that needs to accomodate.

    Am i right in thinking you could play the original DKC's in co-op?

    As long as Retro doesn't force the the requirement of co-op to reach collectibles/hidden items, ill be happy.

    No, there was a 2UP option but it was alternate goes.

    is it simultaneous co-op or DKC style 'take turns' co-op?
