    Don't use you-frame.com
    I got a few vouchers for them from Groupon. Both times there has been no communication and the prints took over THREE MONTHS to arrive. In fact the second one ordered in August still hasn't turned up and unless you chase them you won't hear anything. Awful company.

    I've got the pleasure of hanging these up over the weekend to add to the existing geek room canvas collection.

    Ordered them from a company called Your Image 2 Canvas

    They've got a 3 for 2 option which is pretty handy if you fancy ordering a few. I've tried various canvas companies over the years and these guys seem pretty good. Free next day delivery and they don't charge extra for a deeper frame.

    Anyone ever printed any lo-res pictures on canvas? How do they come out?

    Thinking of printing some canvases of my favourite games to spruce up the breeze block in my man cave.

    But a lot of the games i'd want - police quest, monkey island, swos, civilization etc are all low res 320x240 or 640x480 etc

    How would i print them so they look blocky and not smoothed if you see what i mean?

    smoothed wouldnt look great.

    Canvas is pretty forgiving. Even high res images come out looking at bit fuzzy. It's kind of the point of them.

    But for the money it'll cost you, you might want to consider just buying some nice game artwork prints instead. Bit classier than a do it yourself job with screenshots and canvas.

    This sort of thing:

    @You-can-call-me-kal

    I'm the first to say that when it comes to art i'm fucking useless... I had a look at some of the pre-made ones, thing is they tend to be someone else's take on their favourite games rather than mine...

    I particularly liked the metal ones on displate (https://displate.com/) not sure if you've seen those...

    Think the canvases are cheap enough i might give a couple a go to see what they look like.

    The idea instead of doing massive blow up ones is to do smaller sized ones (e.g. 20x30) and then put them together, this kind of thing but less dinosaury

    Oooh, Displate looks awesome. I was browsing amazon the other day for something similar, but that's exactly what I want.

    Prices are a bit eyewatering though for a bit of tin with some paint on.

    @Rivuzu

    Yeah facebook seems to be doing an ANNOYINGLY good job of advertising things on my feed that i actually want to click on thesedays.

    As you say tho, eyewatering prices have put me off (so far)...

    @THFourteen Especially the Multiplate ones. I was looking at the Edge of the World one, which is a Norse mythology one (and would go fucking great in the games room as the next D&D campaign I'm hosting is purely Viking themed!) - but, 16 plates, 438. HURP. Pass.

    I have a few Instagram canvas prints that are from the time when all instagram pictures were stupendously low res. 640 x 640 pixels blown up to 25cm x 25cm (if not more given that some is wrapped around the frame.

    It looks rather crappy up close but from a about a meter or two away it looks perfectly fine.

    Couldn't you blow it up and print it on a paper for a rough estimate? Things will look better on canvas though as You-can-call-me-kal said.

    That makes it 372.30...

    Is my love of Norse mythology, D&D, and cool weird art on walls strong enough to front up that kind of money?

    Honestly, I have no idea, so I'll bookmark it should I get pissed one day.
