So any chance of the Scots getting something out of Belgium?

The 3rd most expensive national team in the world based on transfer fees behind Portugal and Brazil.
I'm looking forward to this match because Hazard, Courtois and De Bruyne should be starting. I think the general consensus is that Belgium haven't quite clicked yet and considering the quality in the squad they have a lot of room to improve. If Scotland can make it a physical battle and keep getting balls into the box they might get something from the game.

I am not so sure. They clicked against Serbia away on Friday and put 3 past a pretty decent team with a good record at home.

I just can't see Scotland getting any wear near them. Not with the quality they have. You would have to put them in the top 5in terms of squad quality in Europe.

3 - 0 Loss for me but stranger things have happened.

    The main reasons are,

    a) They are taking advantage of the African players coming out of their previous colonies.

    b) They have a very good youth set up. Clubs such as Anderlecht have produced some high quality players who go to top European clubs. They have put a lot of money into it.

Just their time I spose but I think with their squad the last 4 of a world cup is not out the question with their squad if they gel.

Having a nation of people that hate each other breeds great footballers apparently.

    Come and get it cumslingers!

Aside from anything else, everyone tends to have a "golden generation" that comes along once in a while. Even England.

Big night tonight then. I fancy England to nick a win, I think the other home nations sadly are a hiding to nothing.

Some good games though, Spain v France stands out, maybe Germany v Sweden as well although Sweden only just edged the F Islands and Germany smashed Ireland so might not be that close.

I have a sneaky feeling that Ireland may not get a win in the F Island. Hate to say it but there seems to be a few issues in the Ireland camp and the F Islands have a history of causing the odd upset like when they drew with Scotland a few years back.

Both sides have to agree to close the roof. Poland said no to that this afternoon.

Stupid people should have closed the roof earlier

Where are all the polish roof closing button pushers? Over here nicking our roof closing jobs :) that's where they are

Big step-up in the performance tonight from Ireland. Matching their opponents reasonably well tonight. Germany and the Faroe Islands are about the same level, right?

    Right?

They showed Woy kicking balls around, it was like kicking it through a paddling pool.

Unless they have machines to suck the water up, there's no game tonight.

Good man, Wilson. Lovely strike. Seamus Coleman looks to be our best player again, he really should have been playing for a long time.

Here is the official line. Fifa tell BBC Sport that in "the next 45-60 mins all efforts will be made to get the game on tonight. But if not possible, the plan would be to play tomorrow."
    Chelsea v Spurs Sat morning...

I agree they shouldn't really play in those conditions, but I really want them to.

I was half expecting them to put Jan Tomaszewski's save on loop for an hour.
