I'd like to see Suarez score the Hand of God against England (well, maybe not..). You know it's going to happen.

I'm pretty certain that Suarez is going to win a penalty against England via a dive, possibly getting one of the defenders sent off in the process. Would love to see how Gerard handles that.

That's sounds bloody awesome. Apparently you get pick up 100 packs for about 40 quid on Amazon. So I've *cough* heard.

I figure if I sell them to my kids I can turn a profit. Going to need I find some swapsies partners though - locker room at my golf club seems a safe bet.

Do children also "play" with the Panini cards in the UK, like blowing a stack against a wall or stairs and winning those that face up?

The foils or shinys we get nowadays are not a patch on Mexico 86, or the glorious Espana 82. Now they were proper foils with the best mascots (Naranjito & Pique). Those were the days.

I only just heard about this: eighth death in stadium construction. Pretty shocking (no pun intended), imagine if this had happened during London Olympic construction? Do we just shrug our shoulders and say "oh, that's Brazil, it's different." I would hope that there'd be a minutes silence or some acknowledgement of these deaths at the start of the tournament.

On the plus side, they've got a long way to go to be worse than the Delhi Commonwealth Games. They had 50 deaths during construction!

You could try the swap/buy thread, even though it's normally for video games :)

@vijay_UK Yes they were great foils :) Argentina 1978 had really good ones too.

    Maybe tomorrow.

Fucking El Nino has scuppered our chances. Apparently it will be around 1 degree hotter. We have no chance now.

I wonder if the Belgian and German press are making a thing out of this or do they wait until they lose before coming up with excuses?

Lol nah that'll be the Italians. They love crashing out of tournaments in a blaze of sour grapes.

Can we all agree that there'll be no whining about this not being Club Football, and your whimsical wish for Club Football to return. K thx bye!

Oviedo has ruled himself out of the World Cup.

I can't wait to see him back playing for my Club Football team Everton, and for the return of Club Football.

Took the words out of mouth. Sad for him, but happy he'll be back for Club Football, since Club Football is more important.

I like that Germany and Italy have to play all their games in the sweltering north.

Club Football might have some meaning if the teams actually represented the places in which they're situated, instead of being full of either foreigners or people who're not from that town/city, but really it's just a case of he who has the most money wins, which gives International Football more actual meaning than Club football could ever dream of.

But that's just my crazy opinion as someone who only watches Internationals for exactly the reasons above. :)

Out with the old and in with the new!

I hope to see a youthful England squad announced shortly. They should just fucking go for it. They'll probably be able to deal with the temperature better.

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.

Is the squad being announced in Luton as it's the closest we have to a favela?

Does Lallana or Sterling play LM/LW? No bad actually, bit of a gamble taking both the Ox and Jack imo
