I've got Germany beating Brazil in the Semi's with Argentina beating Spain after Messi finally steps it up in a World Cup.

The world wonders whether this will be the tournament where Messi cements his place as the world's greatest ever player by winning a world cup with Argentina only for Germany to see them off in a rather dull final, 2-0.

I've got England winning 9-0 in the final thanks to three perfect hat tricks from Carroll.

@SuperCoolEskimo unless you were the dodgy looking bloke in Tesco picking up twenty packets. There's at least one other.

Sad thing is, whilst buying lunch today, the album was on the counter and I really wanted to buy it.

"He just drew a straight line in pencil across the box, but assured him that it was infused with a 'knowing graphite' that would eventually morph into the shape of his signature, achieve self awareness, and lead us all to world peace." - Phattso

    @FuzzyZealot

    The album is free.

So stop using that as an excuse. :-)

Playing in the Confederations Cup last year was useful preparation for Italy, could be a good outside bet.

My boy is spending a lot of his pocket money on these match attack world stars cards. I have a free panini album at work, but am not going to give it to him as he's obsessed with these other cards (also by panini).

They must make a fortune at these times. I remember going my dinger with them for espana '82 and mexico in '86 as well as a few of the regular season albums.

The return of the jedi sticker album also saw a lot of my available funds...

    :)

I don't remember that, but I do remember getting dinosaur cards from Texan bars.

Was it from Bazooka Joe gum? They used to do cards if I recall correctly.

    /diverges from thread topic slightly

I bought hundreds of those things :D I actually liked the bubblegum. Sometimes you would get scenes on the cards that weren't in the films.

Bought loads of those Figarini Panini football sticker albums from the late 70's to the late 80's. I remember it was a major thing when you got a foil card :) Even bought a cricket one once.

    Messi 8/1
    Ronaldo 14/1
    Oscar 20/1
    Augero 22/1

    My favourite bet Suarez 25/1

You can vote for each nation's bus slogan!

    Contain your excitement!

Big fan of the ones that sound like vaguely threatening political slogans from 1940s communist states.

England's should be "We're not going to win."

I do like this Russia option "We are number one!"

Only if you annex Brazil comrade.

Do those give you free packs via the website or something?

Not doing it myself but I know a grown man at work that does, might be of some interest.

Love these. Particularly fond of the American:

A TEAM ABOVE ALL. ABOVE ALL A TEAM.

It kind of sounds like it's a clever play on words with profound meaning at its heart, but on closer examination, it isn't. It's just the same sentence twice with a slightly different construction.

Shame that none of the 'A united team' style slogans are available for Holland.

My son got the Paninni album. I think I was happier than him about it!

I also agree that the Return of the Jedi sticker album was a classic.

What happens at 20:14 in Switzerland?

Every girl I ever kissed I was thinking of a pro footballer.
