Just started playing SOTC for the first time ever (rather than go through Ico again).

First two are down, and I'm loving the experience.

    SotC really is epic.

Something I'll have to replay one day...

Noticed that this collection is available for 19.99 on download from PSN. Any drawbacks with this, or is it exactly the same as the retail BD?

And will the download version work when the Vita is patched to remote play it or do you need the physical disc?

Should be exactly the same... In fact the PSN version might be better for remote play - at least you won't have to put the disc in your PS3

Found the third colossus hard. Coming back to that in an another attempt later.

I can get up its arm but not sure how to get to its first weak point.

Right, up to the eighth one now. I can see how to get it exposed and vulnerable. Just need to have a patch of evening to go take it on proper.

Whizzed through a lot of these. The game is quite forgiving as the Gods tend to parp up to help you. Ico had some PROPER stumping moments.

The scope of the game is wonderful and the locales are lovely to experience. I'm feeling Ico edges it as the better game right now though.

Interesting. I couldn't call it TBH. Both games are better than the other in different ways. SotC certainly feels more epic, and some of the later Colossi are simply amazing!

What's everyone quickest pay through? Did 7 and a half hours in one sitting on normal; imagine that's pretty slow.

Same here. The final boss took a lot of patience, I can tell you.

Cubby didn't know how to turn off sigs!

DONE, the final two bosses were a grind. The hardest thing about the final boss is shooting its shoulder to get up the top. The otherwise the clamber is relatively straightforward. Even the weakspot to weakspot navigation.

The one prior to that, with the weakspot in its sword hand... what a NIGHTMARE. Your person continually UFFFING and OOOFFING making it really difficult to get any stabs in.

Also wasn't a fan of the one that trudges around in the water.

I liked the one that was the first flying bird, also I found the two smaller ones a nice change of pace.

The locations are breathtaking, the ending is outstanding and looks stunning in HDified, but I just can't get away from how Ico left me with a greater impact and sense of satisfcation.

This is, effectively, like arguining about which one is the shiniest diamond though.

    ICO.

Without giving the game completely away, how the hell are you supposed to get anywhere on the bit with the Windmill? I've tried maybe a couple dozen times now to jump onto the blades of the fucking thing now, from above or below.

@Bremenacht you climb up the left hand side then onto the blades, you have to time it right otherwise it doesn't work!

If you need a video guide try this! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QeHC33-Wq2A

Yeah, it's the timing that seems to be the problem. All he does is bounce off a blade and fall to the bottom.

Seeing as I've been trying the right thing, I'll give that vid a go. Ta.

How many times did I try that same thing?

Before watching video: lots of times
After watching video: once - and succeeded.

    How annoying!
    Anyway. Done and saved. Cheers!

Bought the 2 in 1 from Blockbuster for 15, played a good hour on Ico today. Graphics are really good and the game is quite engrossing too. Not been stumped by any puzzles yet but most of it has been straightforward. Hardest part so far was getting the cage down and open.

    Wow, that was ANNOYING.

Spending ages beating the spirits at the graveyard. Pushing the block down, going back out in the graveyard and MORE spirits appearing and taking her away by the time I get back down there.

    @SuperCoolEskimo

If it's the same bit I'm thinking of, I went back and sat on the save thingy before continuing.

It does get close to being a gamebreaker. Luckily, the fact that you can kill them all by taking her to an idol door and opening it, kind of adds a good balance to it. If this wasn't the case I'm pretty sure I would have given up when countless more spirits came to get her in the big courtyard.
