    Bested 5 and 6 tonight. 5's entrance was truly jaw dropping, and 6 was a real WTF moment.

    SotC is such a great game - I can't believe I didn't play it last gen!

    Colossus 9 is proving to be a total bitch! I know what I need to do, but just can't quite manage it!

    Each colossus seems to be increasingly aggressive and dangerous...

    I started playing today, deciding I need a bit of a break from Dark Souls. Did the first 3.

    They do get progressively harder, but it's also a sign of the brillaint game design that a different tactic is required for each

    Another 3 down this morning - Number 13 (The flying dragon) was simply awesome, although pretty tough :)

    One to go! #14 (Bulldog) was pretty tough - killed me a couple of times by knocking me down before I could recover from the last knock down :(

    Got 'im in the end though :D

    Seems to me everyone is playing SOTC but not ICO :(
    ICO is probably the better transfer of the two, and this is actually the first time since I played it on the PS2 that i've gotten further than the windmill.

    The way the rumble works is unbelievable, really thought they had added it on for the HD remake. Makes me wonder why rumble isn't used more effectively in more modern games.

    Did 2 more colossi tonight, for a total of 5. :-)

    Oh, did I mention I'd already completed this game on the PS2?

    But somehow I have to rediscover the method to kill each of them from scratch. I think I should know what to do, but somehow it never comes on its own. Heh.

    @javvyman - I finished Ico a month or so ago...

    And finished SotC tonight! \o/

    #16 was a total bastard - I must have fallen about 20 times - but worth the effort :)

    Just picked this up at a local shop. The guy advised me to play SotC first.
    Good advice? I'm dubious.

    Doesn't really matter, as they're not directly related, although I'd personally play Ico first as you'll love it and then love SotC even more.

    Never played SotC before, but it was a bit of a bargain. Looking forward to my first ever play-through.

    Holy f**k me. Played my first 10 minutes of SOTC in 3D. How the f**k was that ever a PS2 game?! it's absolutely outstanding. Loved ICO, but SOTC in 3D looks Next Gen on from this gen and it's a last gen game. That's a lot of gen in one sentence. I think I need a break and many deep breaths.

    Quick question re: these two games.

    Y'know the way in the God of War HD collection on PS3, the FMV movies from the games weren't upscaled and looked distinctly worse than the rest of the game as a result?

    Does this collection have anything like that going on with it, or is it uniform all the way through?

    @cianchristopher No the video seems pretty good on ico and sotc great games you should buy it if you haven't yet!

    I'd thought that would be the case, as I was fairly sure that ICO and SOTC don't actually have any FMV. All the "cutscenes" in both games are in-engine, aren't they?

    If so, then they'd be remastered in the same way the games themselves are remastered, unless I'm mistaken.

    It's not a dealbreaker or anything, I just found it a little disappointing in the God of War Collection to have certain parts of the game stick out like that. They really looked kinda shit, tbh.

    Thanks guys.

    So what you're saying is... there are no jarring inconsistencies where the game switches from standard-def FMV to high-def in-engine gameplay/cutscenes a la God of War I & II.

    Like I say it's not the biggest deal in the world, but it did feel a tiny bit sloppy in the GoW ports.
