Yup, I really don't get Malicious. Attacking feels about as limp as flicking bodily fluids and not as satisfying.

I got on much better in Malicious after I read the manual. Using the punch and the chain attack together worked pretty well for me, although I haven't done much of the game yet.

Right these PS+ freebies are finally convincing me to shell out for a PS3, wife be damned. Quick question though, what's the minimum HD size I should go for, assuming I want to make the most of these free downloads? Roughly how big is a typical game?

A retail release like Arkham City can easily be upwards of 10 GB. Some games will be much smaller (like The Cave - 1 GB), some will be much larger (Ni No Kuni - 22 GB). You typically need 2x the free space of a game to download and install it, although e.g. the aforementioned Ni No Kuni comes in 2 chunks, so it's a little less.

I'd say a comfortable minimum would be 320 GB, but depending on your habits and how many games you like to keep on your HDD at once you may be upgrading to a 1 TB drive after a few months.

It's been said many times but remember you don't need to download a game once you've bought it (with PS+ or otherwise), it's always going to be there on your download list so you can access it at any time when you have space on the HDD.

... and the web store is a lot easier to use than the PS3 store.

Here's a top tip for PS+ users struggling for disk space (like me). Go to the PS3's 'Game Data Utility', and delete all the big downloaded update files for games you don't play anymore.

I had a clear-out last night and got back 22 GB of space!

@chub Might as well delete the actual game as well if you don't play it anymore?! Can always download again

@imamazed Actually the updates I deleted were for disc-based games, not PS+ downloaded games. I think when you delete a downloaded game it gets rid of the updates as well.

Aye, I did the same last week. Discovered I had 25GB of installed MGS4 data on there. Haven't even owned it for 5 years. Those mandatory installs all add up.

@chub Ah I see, fair enough.

Yeh I'm fine on space myself, but I might do that for a few rental games anyway

There's a little advert popping up on the left of the forum stating that Terraria is free on PS+ - am I right in assuming that this is just a f***ed up advert for the trial version?

Yeh I noticed that last night; I'm pretty sure it's saying the trial version is free...

Which is not exactly worth shouting about is it!

@Murbal - yep, the trial version is free, not the full game. That said, PS+'ers do get a 20% (?) discount.

I'm waiting for the Vita version, TBH.

Any deals on PS+ subs around? Amazon looks like the cheapest at the moment.

Cheers mrpon. Unfortunately I was a bit lax and didn't keep an eye on it so it lapsed today and I'm looking to get subscribed again asap (so I can keep playing Gravity Rush).

    Edit: Ordered from Amazon

In case anyone was wondering about them, I bought a 35 PSN voucher for 30 notes a week or so back, they were pretty quick and if you like them on Facebook you get a 5% discount code.

Guys, what time do games normally go up on PS+? Been waiting all morning for Ico and SOTC to go up.

No, they kept the framerate the same, for the sake of us getting the most accurate experience. Huge monsters are meant to move slowly.

Need to buy a hard drive come Friday. I've had a sub for 2 months now, snapped up all the games but been unable to download anything substantial.

So many good games to play.

Well no, they upped it from the really slow 15 or so to a cap of 30.
