Sony sent me a 30 day trial code for ps plus. On redeem it says its invalid or has been used. Sigh.

If it's from the facebook thing, I think they have an expiry date on them.

@drhcnip A 40GB HDD is fine imho; it's not as if one needs to have all the games on the disk; just download a few from the PSN account's download list when wanted, play and delete...

@HiddenAway Nice one, thanks for the heads up. Never really been into the genre, but will give it a go now.

As an aside, what does IGC stand for?

    @imamazed Instant Game Collection

It's the term used for those "games that you can download at no extra cost and play as long as you're a subscriber".

Or if you want a better term, the free games :p

Ah, yes of course. I did know it was called that, just wasn't aware of the initialisation.

Do the IGC games you download stay to play as long as you're a PS+ subscriber, even after the 2 weeks it's up? I've only just joined up so don't know the ins and outs.

Stuff is only available on the Store for a certain length of time (varies), the simple thing is to start the download for everything (Then cancel them if you want)
The item will now be in you downloaded items list for as long as you're a subscriber, and you can download it any time you want.

@cubbymoore Anything on PS+ as 'free' always stays with you while you're a member. Even when you let the membership lapse and then start it up again, it'll still be available to you.

Anything you 'buy' via discount stays with you, regardless of your membership expiring.

The trick is to whore everything up as 'purchased' but then just not download it. I've got about 11 games in there, including Vita games, that I either a) don't have space for at the moment or b) don't have a Vita that I can download at another time.

Like kentmonkey, I make sure everything is in my download list, but only actually download the games I want to play. I'm trying to clear some of the PS+ backlog now, as I'm running out of space.

First world problems... I have too many games to fit on my PS3, cry.

I like how fucking Sony auto-renew my PS+ 3 Month, which is bad enough, but they renew it at full price, and not the current 33% off, the wankers.

    Get bent.

My annual sub is set to auto renew next month. If there's an offer on subs at the moment, should I buy that manually? I read somewhere that it'll stack from the end of my existing sub. Can anyone confirm?

They do stack, yes. Personally, I'd just switch off the auto-renew entirely. I think Plus goes on offer at least once a year anyway.

Your best offer (UK only) is GAME, which has cut the price to the old EU PSN+ Christmas offer price (i.e. 29.99).

It does stack, just like LIVE does :)

Subscriptions do stack. It's worth noting that someone said a couple of pages back that you cannot disable auto-renew on PS+; apparently you have to remove your card details from the account if you ever want to unsubscribe. Shame they fuck it up in this way, as every other aspect of PS+ is bloody great.

Didn't know that but then again, I haven't put in any card details on PSN since the hacking incident. Except on one occasion, I've used PSN cards or Paypal to top up the wallet. If I do use my card details, I promptly remove them afterwards.

Probably paranoid but at least I know I won't be as affected should it happen again.

    Paypal will do the same.

Any payment details they will use. And charge you the full three month whack regardless of any offers on at that time.
