I've got a 30 day trial pass to activate when I get home around 7pm, anyone know whether I'd be able to download RDR? It's one of those games I wanted to play but waited for the price to drop and forgot about it :(

You'll be able to grab it tonight, it doesn't expire until tomorrow when the store refreshes.

@Flying_Pig Only if you play with a human co-op partner. The AI on Sheva otherwise is appalling and ruins the game.

    @MMMarmite

As long as you put RDR through the store checkout tonight, you can download it at your leisure.

A new HDD is cheaper. Apparently it's fairly easy.

Yeah seems the better option, 75 for a 750GB isn't too bad.

I had no problems with the blue screw. The four screws which hold the HDD in the caddy, though, were very soft and I managed to strip one with the screwdriver. In the end, I used pliers like these to get them off.

Played it on 360 on my own. Not bad not a patch on the first 3 of course, but certainly playable.

I will playthrough with you on the ps3 The extra Gold edition stuff should be good. if you fancy, maybe a couple of hours a week, it won't take long. I do still need to get a cheap headset though, I have no comms on the ps3.

    Let me know mate.

Neither, just buy a 2.5" SATA HDD, easily upgradable yourself and much, much cheaper.

Bulletstorm is a fantastic game, absolutely loved it on 360, and RE5 is great too though I only ever played split-screen co-op. I never did get the dlc for RE5 though so i'm pleased it's the "Gold Edition", just hoping I can convince a friend to get it so I don't have to play through it all solo. I might even go for the Platinum after getting the full 1000G on 360.

You don't open it up, there's a panel on the back that comes open and the drive slides out, it's designed to be user upgradable.
  • Deleted user 2 October 2012 21:48:53
Except for the shitting awful screws that get stripped if you even look at them.

Its dead easy. There are loads of guides and YouTube videos that you can use to prepare yourself for it.

You can get a 1TB HDD for 65 at the moment.

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0053YLTBC

Think when installed you *only* get 830gb, but that would probably last.

agree its not the blue screw its the screws holding the hdd in the caddy. none of my screwdrivers fit, nor did my neighbours or my uncle's every screwdriver I tried stripped the thread ended up trying to make my own threads got 2 of them out after over an hour lost patience and ended up snapping the metal caddy around the screws to get the hdd out! fucking nightmare

I've got two Playstation Plus codes I don't want A5Q5-74NR-58TA and 7LP4-35N8-P6EB. The first one might have been used by now, as I posted it somewhere else and no one said that they'd actually tried to use it :) I tend to just give away codes for things on here if I don't want them.

So I'm thinking about getting rid of my xbox and picking up a ps3. MP games are outta the question for the foreseeable future and there is an absolute fuckton of SP ps3 games that I havnt played.

    How does this PS+ work?

Is it a one off annual payment or can you pay monthly?

It seems to be worth it from an outside perspective.

    Goat is hungry.....

@PrivateFloyd One off annual payment of 39.99 or you can grab a 3 month subscription for err 20 (I think?)

Once you're subscribed, you can download the games available to subscribers (from the moment you subscribe) for free or buy them at a discount. Games you download for nothing expire when you cease being a subscriber and re-activate when you become a subscriber again (you'd have to re-download some stuff). Games you purchase with a Plus discount are yours to play and keep whether you're a subscriber or not.

@Widge I hope you manage to get some good games with the code then or whatever it is that people do with Playstation Plus :) I'm also glad that some unnamed person used the second code!
