    @FatsoJetson

    Just the ones currently available and the ones that will become available during your sub.

    You don't have to be subscribed to PS+ to see what's available in the relevant tab on the store. Last time I looked, JC2 was there.

    I don't have much space on my ps3 if I subscribed to ps plus and could only download one of the free games eg red dead would I not be able to download the other current free games at a later date? Do they expire?

    I think as long as you purchase them as normal then cancel the download, they will be on your download list to download for free at a later date.

    PS3 wifi is very poor but if you use a wired connection you'll get as good doenload speeds as any other device.

    There is a 25% discount right now, so I finally jumped in last night. Grabbed LittleBigPlanet 2 right away. Not too interested in the other games there right now, but hopefully more good things will come along.

    Unfortunately my old PS3 has what can best described as issues when downloading, so it is very slow and only 40GB - which is nothing by today's standards.

    Great service from Sony this, and a very clever way to turn a coin for its online services will keeping the core things of PSN free.

    @dominalien thanks. It is still there. 30 for 12 months and I've already downloaded Just Cause 2, LBP 2 and Outland!

    I think PS+ has already paid for itself.

    Just wait until you get to automatic patches and updates.

    Posted from my Nexus 4, not using Tapatalk 4.

    Just a note to the new users.
    Add all of the available stuff to your cart and go through the checkout process, there's no need to download, just do the confirm purchase stuff.

    It will put the games in your download list and you'll then be able to get them any time you want.

    If you don't add them to your games list now, they may not come around again.

    @bladdard Never had a problem with the wireless on PS3. Had great speeds with Be Broadband (less with Sky) and awesome speeds with Virgin.

    Don't know why you think it's the console's fault ;)

    Well i've only got myself a PS3 but i've heard from dozens on here over the years how quickly stuff downloads using the 360 compared to the PS3. Don't think internet provider was ever the main problem, the PS3's d/l speed has always just been a bit pants.

    Saying that out of peak times i've been totally fine with it myself.

    It's really only over wifi. Using cables has always given me everything my internet connection was capable of.

    Download through XBL is far faster than through PSN, there's no doubt at all about that.

    XBL : ecosse011172
    PSN : ecosse_011172

    Personal experience mate, I use virgin 30Mbps and I get the full lot downloading from PSN with a wired connection but only get around 4Mbps wireless.

    @Armoured_Bear

    Not in my experience, I have a slim 360 which downloads at pretty much the same rate as my PS3 from PSN using a wired connection. Wireless downloads are far quicker on my 360 but that's because the 360 uses the faster wireless 'N' protocol and the PS3 is wireless G.

    PSN isn't inherently slow.

    Hooked up a wired connection to ps3 and now downloads are decent speed suprising considering every other gadget I have are the virtually the same whether wireless or wired. With RDR, LBP2, Motorstorm apocalypse, oddword, infamous 2, tomb raider guardian ps plus has more than paid for itself already such a bargain wish I had done it sooner

    I downloaded Infamous 2 last week and completed it. My quick review is it's a really really good game. I've completed all missions and now have an empty world to roam around and nothing to do which depresses me a little bit.

    If I've got an old launch 40gb ps3, will I be alright joining ps+, space wise? I've recently cancelled my 360 one as I use my ps3 far more, so am wondering whether to take the plunge

    basically, is it any cop?

    Just remember that you don't have to download everything now. You can just run it through the checkout and download it in the future.

    Also upgrading from a 40gb drive should be pretty painless anyway. Could even backup to a 32gb memory stick before chucking in a new drive.

    @DodgyPast - that's not a bad idea either.

    I'm wondering how long I've got left with this ps3 actually. It's a launch machine, and it's already been fixed once after a rrod

    For people worried about download speeds just do what I do. Set everything you want to download in background, click turn off system through the main menu (not holding controller) It will come up with a tick box to select to turn off your console once downloads are complete. Go to work, come back and enjoy your games

    Quick question: I know the instant game collection games will disappear as soon as your PS+ subscription expires but what about games you've bought and got 100% discount, like Retro/Grade or Machinarium?

    They disappear if you don't continue your sub too.

    Only games you have actually paid for (with a discount) are yours to own.

    100% discount games aren't "bought" so those would expire at the end of subscription but be available again whenever one does decide to subscribe again.

    The PS blog just mentioned a discount for Jet Set Radio HD!?! :D

    Yeah, it's great value and I definitely recommend it, but rather than juggle content on your 40gb HDD I'd also recommend getting a 320gb + replacement HDD from Play. It'll cost nearly as much as a lone game - I paid about 45 for a 640gb a couple of years ago - but it has come in so handy and is very easy to swap.

    just been playing a bit of Motorstorm Apocalypse, something doesn't feel right seems heavily scripted and I'm winning the races despite crashing constantly due to crap littered around the tracks and despite everything blowing up around me it just doesn't feel all that exciting.

    on what date are new games added on ps plus?

    First week of every month. Next month is Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit. The Instant Game Collection will get 2 new games from 10th October 2012.

    I'm really struggling to play all the games coming free now.

    Lots of the full price stuff I didn't want to pay full price for before I left the UK.
