The daily mash is a bit shit, isn't it?

Turns up in my Zite feed fairly regularly and I have to say the headlines alone make me smile a lot more than The Onion. Usually the headline is enough for me, I don't need to read the article. I suspect if I did I might concur, but that's the problem with having to churn out an article for every headline: quality is going to go down.

I love it. It's like a trashy tabloid version of The Onion.

To be honest, the joke is usually more or less entirely done in the headline, and the article itself milks it a bit.

Did the article pull at your heart strings? Aww, there there.

Nah, like the other people said, the headline is the joke. The actual article itself is a big pile of jobbies.

I didn't say that, just so we're all clear. The articles can make me laugh too. I'm just saying that in terms of pure comparison, the headline is much easier to make consistently funny than the articles they have to write for each one.

I also didn't really say that either.

    Huh?

When did the Daily Mash go behind a paywall?
You can view 7 articles over 30 days for free, or else cough up £2.49 a month.

    Or just stop reading it.

I'm not seeing that - I just opened 8 articles without a problem.

I have no idea what you're seeing, but I can open as many as I like and there isn't even a login/sign up/give money button anywhere.

Unless you're confusing it with The Onion, which has had an article limit paywall thing in place for ages.
