|I find it an abomination that Atletico are clearly only able to get this far by using the loan market.|

Yep. Completely outrageous. Should do it as proper clubs do. Get a sugar daddy or have the state give you infinite loans.
In between all the chat about some mid-table manager being sacked it seems to have been forgotten that it's the first CL semi-final tonight!
Atletico v Chelsea!
Fancy Atletico to do it this evening, not sure about the tie overall but now that the aura around Mourinho at the Bridge has gone you never know.
Will Courtois play? If he does will he throw one in his own net?
Will it be really dirty and involve numerous player/bench fights? (Yes)
I think unfortunately Chelsea will win fairly comfortably. I wouldn't want to play them after the Sunderland game.
Chelsea are on an absolute bottle job at the moment in the league, wouldn't hugely surprise me if Atletico knocked them out although I wouldn't go as far as to say Madrid are clear favourites or anything.
I think I'd say Chelsea would have actually had a better chance against Barca. Atletico are basically a better Chelsea, not sure they'll be able to handle it.
Think Mourinho will try and close up shop tonight play on the counter and get a goal. Think he'd take a 2-1 loss tonight to be honest.
People just love to write-off Chelsea, and it is nearly always a mistake to do so.
Wouldn't be suprised if Chelsea progressed going on to win the competition that would be typical mourinho.

I can see Chelsea winning the thing this year.
Although I'd quite like to see Bale pick up a CL winners medal in his first season there.
Defensively Real madrid are lacking but with the quality of Bale, Ronaldo and Benzema always have goals in the side.

1-0 to Atletico. Courtois to save our one shot on goal.
Schurrle should get a game as well as Ba important to score for chelsea tonight. Think Mourinho knows that.

I can see Atletico nicking a result, they play with such a high tempo they could easily catch out Chelsea
Cech; Azpilicueta, Cahill, Terry (c), Cole; David Luiz, Mikel, Lampard; Ramires, Torres, Willian
Courtois, Juanfran, Miranda, Godín, Filipe, Mario, Gabi, Koke, Raúl García, Diego, Diego Costa
No Villa for Atletico tonight him and Costa been different class as a partnership.
He's on the bench.

I can see a very close game, fancy Atletico to win 1-0 or 2-1, leaves it nicely poised for the return leg.
Oscar, Schurrle and Ba are on the Bench for Chelsea.
Not sure Chelsea have ever lined up with David Luiz, Mikel, Lampard and Ramires. It's defensive as expected, I guess.
Villa should have started with Costa up top thinking Chelsea can nick a result here.
I expect 19th-century football from Chelsea.
0-0 wouldn't surprise me, tho.

Should be quite fast I would have thought. Don't think Chelsea will cope too well with the closing down and fast pace but I suppose if they are parking the bus, it doesn't matter too much.

Next United manager confirmed.
Anyhow, back to this game. I just hope it's an excellent game.

Is this the first time that David Luiz' dirtiness has injured a Chelsea player?
Cech no doubt out of the Liverpool game, wonderful.
Chelsea playing a dangerous game seem to be getting deeper and deeper inviting pressure.
I would give Torres odds of 500-1 to score tonight.
Baffling how he just can't get going at Chelsea I'd expect him included in the Costa to Chelsea deal. He seems to have lost a yard of pace and the ball control is just non existant.
