Lovely jubbly. As comfortable win as you will see. Great to see Jack on the score sheet and I thought Rosicky was ace for an hour before his legs went.

Ozil was much more effective 2nd half when he stopped dropping so deep to get the ball.

Jesus Marseille were crap. I'd go as far as to say they might have been the worst team we've seen there this year.

They didn't even make us try, we were pretty pedestrian, but then why expend the energy I guess.

    Onwards and upwards!

Wouldn't have mattered considering Chelsea didn't have a single shot on target, or even have one chance created. What are the odds that if Benitez was still manager, the fans would be falling over themselves wanting him out?

Seriously what is there to like about Chelsea FC?

Watching the united one. For everyone going on about the strength of the German league, this relatively poor United side look very very comfortable away against the team 2nd in it.

As always with this season, won't be confident until the final whistle goes.

Giggs just oozes class. The passage of time depresses me.

Pretty humiliating for guys like Cleverley and Fellaini that a centre half and a damn near 40 year old man are doing a better job in midfield than they could ever dream of.

Anderson as well. Hasn't even got a look in this season. This Leverkusen side looks shocking. However they're 2nd in the Bundesliga I haven't a clue.

To be fair it's more judging how he copes in multiple competitions of equal importance. Sunday will be a big test for him. Great result tonight though.

One thing I will credit to Moyes at this early stage is what an utter beast he's got Rooney playing like. This is the most consistent I've ever seen him. Every week he's playing a blinder, and his delivery from dead balls has improved about 400%.

I think the World Cup may be the only reason for the Rooney resurgence.

    Right, Nani scored. Transfer.

Fellaini is suspended but I was just making this very point to my girlfriend.

Also ami alone in thinking we're possibly better served sacrificing one of rvp/Rooney and playing Kagawa in his actual position rather than shoehorning him on the left and playing everyone.

He looked very good tonight, always drifting into space and always wanting the ball. I'm not sure how much should be read into this game though. Leverkusen really had a bad night tonight.

I was actually going to say that too. I can't believe I'm going to say this but RVP might have to make way. Kagawa was great playing where he needs to be played, and he and Rooney clearly have a great understanding.

Not drop permanently but certainly this Roomey/Kagawa partnership plenty of chances to flourish. Great potential there.

I'd assume they will both start against Spurs with RVP as the option on the bench as he's only coming back from injury.

*sigh* I've been saying since we bought kagawa that we should play with either one holding 2 wing, kag roo and rvp, or 3 cms, kagawa roo rvp..... It doesn't seem to occur to even try it :-( If we went with the wing option we'd also have Valencia who although is useless in attack the last 2 or 3 seasons, always puts in a defensive shift and would help the holding midfielder.
