If Barca come out fighting, and get the first goal, the crowd roaring, Messi playing properly, and they look like they actually want to win, who knows.

(basically: if Barcelona win they will win! etc etc)

Having nothing to lose and a home crowd behind you can be a powerful thing, as we learnt when we went to the San Siro 4-0 this season. That was bloody close.

I don't think it's likely, but I think its possible enough to put some money on.

Nah, Barca are dead in the water now. The biggest trouble they have is Tito cannot make the big decisions. Xavi and Messi need to be dropped and if he plays Fabregas he needs to drop Iniesta or actually show he has some tactical nous and switch things up.

I don't see any of that happening.

I wish they could make a comeback like that - or that they at least try. That would make it really entertaining to watch. Sadly, I think Bayern are too strong.

As for Barca not trying to attack yesterday, I felt it was obvious right from the start that Messi wsasn't fit, and they didn't have a plan B, so they tried to play it safe and minimize risks. Their defense have also been hit very hard by injuries lately which has caused a lot of instabliity. Not trying to make excuses, Bayern were the better team and deserved everything they got (even if I hate the club).

The funniest thing was the fans booing Barca when they played their possesion football - wonder how they'll react if Guardiola implements it at Bayern also.

Yeah, was amazed that the goal stood. Should have been disallowed and a yellow for Muller.

Reckon Bayern will get at least one away goal. Could have seen Barcelona doing it if they had got one in Munich, but now just can't see them turning it around.

And Messi back to himself next week? Doubt it.

Agree it was a foul, but the defender made a meal of it. So karma.

How did he make a meal of it? By the time he got up, Robben had already scored.

Lovely spin and throw to the ground.

'Meal' or not it's still a foul. Jordi Alba is a cunt though (probably the biggest of the Barca lot if you ask me), so I guess karma is restored.

Edit: Fwiw I don't agree he made a meal of it. He was knocked off balance and fell over. He did throw up his arms to protest, but the spin as you call it wasn't acting..

Bayerns record away from Home in the Bundesliga this season 14/15 wins 37 scored and 3 conceded.
If Barcelona make it to the final, it surely be their greatest comeback ever.

Yeah, but he was caught slightly off-balance. Regardless, his reaction is irrelevant - Muller should have been penalised for the ridiculously blatant barge/obstruction.

Pff. Agree to disagree. Was play acting in my book. But yes, a foul.

Have to say the post-game reactions from Barca players were rather humble and sportsman-like, even from someone like Busquets. No blaming of the refs and not much whining. If they keep that up, I might actually like them again one day.

Overall I have the feeling, though, that they are not that motivated anymore. They've practically won everything under the sun - in some cases twice - so why bust their asses again...

That said: it's not over yet. As a Bayern supporter I suffered through too many big matches that were blown out of nowhere and for no reason (albeit the two most painful instances where against English teams...)

Madrid look good for a goal in this game.

Yep. Although they are looking vulnerable to direct running too (particularly from Reus).

Would've given Ronaldo a yellow for that. Knew exactly what he was doing jumping into the keeper there.

Loving the re-emergence of high-tempo direct football. Never understood why English football discarded it so completely. Antidote to a few years of Graham Taylor probably.

Busquets is by far the biggest cunt, no competition.
