Juventus! Lovely. I was hoping it wouldn't be United, seen them play Celtic a few times already.

It's good that the first leg is at Parkhead too. If the first was in Turin they'd probably be coming back a couple of goals down and it'd be a bit of a damp squib. Should be a cracking atmosphere for the first leg, and the victory against Barca shows they really can beat anyone at home. Wouldn't fancy them to go through, but it'll be a great boost for Scottish football hopefully.

Chuffed as nuts with Bayern too. We'll probably lose, but will be Max great game and it's far from impossible.

Could not be happier with that draw, just booked a trip to the away leg in the Bernabau and going to the home game too, gonna cost me about 1000 for both after spending money but feck it, Man Utd vs Real Madrid doesn't happen every day.

Is there any way to get home leg tickets for the united game if you're not on priority?

Ha, we thought that about Barca. Playing them 3/4 years got a little tedious.

Have to book through Thomas Cook because I don't have Euro away credits. 345 for flights from Manchester, hotel for night, ticket price not announced yet but estimating 60 or so. Then have to fly to Manchester the night before the flights to Madrid. Then flights and accomodation for home game to be sorted and ticket is going to be 35 or so since they're not included in season ticket.

Was it yourself that was away in San Siro?

Travelling to the home game is normally the most expensive for man u fans isn't it? Where you travelling from? Ireland? Zimbabwe?
Ha, I know you're probably just trying to troll but Ireland yeah, can usually work around flights between going to Liverpool and bussing it but all airlines seem to have racked up prices for the minute anyway.

Yeah I did the San Siro. Those package deals are easy but really costly. Away tickets for these things cost nothing. My San Siro ticket was 12.

Ah that's a bit of a relief at least. Any advice for travelling away in Europe?

    @reddevil93

I take it you had credits for the home game? I really want two tickets but couldn't find them on the utd box office.
  • Deleted user 21 December 2012 18:57:59
Depends what kind of person you are but my advice is avoid the rest of the away support. They tend to be utter cunts. Soak up a bit of genuine local flavour and don't sit in a bar all day getting pissed with nobs.

Got through the season ticket, doubt the ballot has taken place though. Are you a One United member?

Yeah, heard of a lot of shite going on, especially at the Euro aways. Hopefully find a few like minded people, have a gander about Madrid and a few quiet ones. Free bar on the way over with Thomas Cook so I could imagine half the support being pissed by midday.

    3-1 to Real Madrid.

    Ronaldo 2, Benzema

Jones and Evans versus Ronaldo? Heh.

A bit of history, Madrid president Santiago Bernabeu considered awarding their 1958 European Cup to Utd after the Munich tragedy. Madrid also were willing to sell Ferenc Puskas to Utd but the FA blocked the transfer as the player didn't speak English. :)

As for Wednesday's game, I can see it being a tight and cagey game. 0-0, 1-1 or 1-0 to Madrid.

Can't wait to see living God Pirlo play. Good luck Celtic. I'm going for 1-1.

Yeah, can't lose tonight. Either a masterclass from Pirlo or a blood-and-thunder performance from Celtic.
