I haven't played recently. I just wish I had more time to play all the games I want to!

    I totally called it.

I havent played since hitting about level 45.

Same thing with all of these MMOs to me, it all just gets a bit repetetive and samey. Just because it isnt tonnes of fetch quests all the time doesnt make it much less boring.

And the personal story wasn't really massively intriguing.

I hit around 35 and got bored of the faffy combat.

I really like the combat, and the world, and the music, and the graphics, and the... everything.

I just don't like, ironically, the lack of a holy trinity. I don't want a rigid one, but something over DPS zerg would be nice.

So spec your traits on utility shit.

Just entered a new map in the Maguuma. Sense of wonder and exploration once more!

Been playing the trial and its very decent. Some quite clever ideas in there.

It's very confusing though, especially the crafting. They're killing themselves with the 28 though, there's no way i'm paying that.

Its only one off though! im starting to begrudge paying a sub for final fantasy now, especially as im not really playing it much atm thanks to GTA :(

at least GW is always there waiting for me, not leaving a sour taste in my mouth like wow did or ff currently is :)

Hah this is true, It's just a lot for something I'd dip in and out of and have no-one to play with.

Then there's that point in every MMO when you either make it or entire life or stop playing.

So wow, living story is amazing. Kessex Hills is facing a tower of nightmares and the new meta-events that occur add a great, indirect, consequence to the other events that are standard in Kessex.

It is just a great model of keeping the world evolving and feeling like time is actually passing and opens up to have more emergent narratives between players.

It is a great system, the main problem with it being, however, that it's often not quite enough as compared to a normal MMO patch. It's a regular diet of smaller meals vs bigger feasts, and both have their pluses/minuses.

But add those little meals up. These are happening every month. I think in the long term it is more content and more social opportunity, because it isn't gated in the traditional fashion.

I got to go through the 3 levels of the tower and do the instances, thanks to the up scaling. I was still on level 20 items though (I used my Asura Guardian instead of my human ele) and so while my contribution wasn't the greatest compared to the hardcore guild groups I rolled with, I got to experience it and take my relevant, level appropriate rewards. And I always felt useful because of my mechanics/positioning.

I also like the addition of 'finishers'. I hope they expand on that in the PvE sphere.

The Halloween stuff was very well done though - really enjoyed taking my 80 through it all. I haven't played in ages, but keep coming back for the events. Shame other mmo's don't do events like GW!

    You are Banned
After careful review of your latest infraction, the Community Team has decided to permanently revoke your posting privileges. You agreed to abide by the Forum Code of Conduct when creating this account. Your membership and participation in these forums is a privilege and not a right. ArenaNet reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to these forums and/or to the game itself at any time for reasons that include, but are not necessarily limited to, your failure to abide by this Code of Conduct. Due to the severity of your post, this action will not be reversed. The revoking of your forum privileges does not affect your in-game account status at this time.

I prefer being banned over censoring myself if someone attacks me on forums, no matter how much of a fruit they maybe I will speak my mind, and telling them to go kill themselves as a favor to me, is my perogative. If you don't like it don't attack me, simple as. I will not bide abusive degenerates.

Just FYI, if I see anyone on here telling someone to go kill themselves I'd ban them. I don't think that's unreasonable.

    I totally called it.

Living world stuff is pretty epic stuff. Not getting to spend that much time with it but its good that all can be involved. Next beastie is gonna be big.

Gave up a long time ago. The best new launch of any MMO, but it soon become more of the same after the first few weeks.

I play from time for time. I just load it up and go and do some WvW for a half hour or so, maybe a couple of times a month when i'm in the mood. Thats one thing I like about the 'free' to play model.

I'd like an excuse to play this again. Maybe an expansion? For me a big part of the appeal was in exploring a vivid new world and I've often enjoyed WoW-style new continents and whatnot.

On this site? Apparently not many, but the game itself is still very active. The constant stream of new content helps a lot, even if much of it is pretty hit or miss.

The most recent patch doesn't add much, but it is good that we can finally explore Lions Arch properly again after the attack. The new music really adds to the sombre experience too and there's some great little pieces of new dialogue. I particularly like that they've finally acknowledged the fall of Zhaitan and gave the Pact some presence.
