Been smashing this last few day, full exotic set, ascended stuff on the horizon.

Best endgame ever for me as you can kinda do it on your own, no need for 3 hour time commitments for 25-man raids.

That said, need to cool off a bit now, been proper going at it.

Super Adventure Box is fun, just did 1-3 with some guildies.

It's quite telling how far the (wider) platforming genre has died (in 3D, anyway) that this is the best platformer I've played recently.

Also, world events are zerged: Maw in that snowy place was nuts!

What stuff are you doing at endgame? Dungeon runs?

Fractals, running Citadel of Flame for moneys to complete armour sets and pick up exotic trinkets etc. Random boss events for rares for ectoplasm. Grinding dailies and monthlies for laurels for ascended gear. Guild bounties etc etc.

Plenty to be getting on with there, my Internet is starting to mince about though so it's not easy to progress at the moment. Do need a break but am also horrendously addicted.

With XBL being down last night, I decided to put some time into it, and for whatever reason started to follow the Living Story or whatever it's called. It's quite fun this, I wish I had moved servers now.

Do you have an active guild or fixed group of members? I don't (or rather, I'm in the mostly dead EG guild) and don't get around to group activities because of it.

PUGs are nowhere near as dreadful as they were in WoW but it't still very hit-and-miss IMO.
Especially as a support class like my necro one's extremely dependent on a solid core team. And I really can't be arsed standing around LFGíng anymore after my time in WoW.

I hardly get around to dungeons and such for that very reason, I stick to solo questing and WvW with some occasional grinding for teh moneys to support my (rather expensive) WvW habits.
It does feel like I'm missing out on a lot though and despite being a day 1 adopter I'm still decked out with mainly green items because of it.

Any ideas on which servers are most popular now? Going to have to pay to change I reckon as the server I'm on is dead.

I joined a nice small guild. Small, but vocal, which is nice. Nice, small, small nice etc etc etc.

Just solo, and then every now and then we do a group thing.

Desolation is certainly one of the biggest and pop is high. In a 200+ member guild and there's constant chatter about what's going on around the world map.

PUGs are ok, having a big guild helps for extras. Rarely have to wait for more than 3-4 minutes to get a group of 5 together.

If you're serious I'd definitely recommend splashing the £8.50 for a transfer, being on a big server is a definite plus, makes pretty much everything easier. Think of it as a one-off sub if that helps!!

I switched to Aurora Glade just before they added a cost to transfers. Seem quite a lively place too.

Jesus, it'll cost 1600 Gems to transfer to Desolation, which is £17 in real money. Or I could save up about 39 gold and 52 silver to buy the gems in the Black Lion trading post.

I guess I'm sticking to the current server.

edit: Correction 1,800 which is closer to £20 and 44 Gold... Fucking hell.

Just did the new story dungeon, Molten Facility or w/e. Great fun. Not done an MMO dungeon since WoW. Whilst the roles are not as defined, I was still healing and supporting, whilst dodging and smashing stuff up. Really good - and some awesome scenery too.

I like the way you can just rock up to events and join in with others without any pressure to "perform" as it were. Suits me well.

Yeah, it's relaxed. I guess the dungeons are a bit more pressured, but only in a 'try not to die' kinda way.

Anyone still playing this? Read the last few pages and Desolation seems to be the place to be. Have signed up (£25, bargain).

Playing Neverwinter has rekindled my interest in MMORPGs for the first time since WoW.

GW2 is great, as long as you're not the type of person who feels they're needs to be a constant grind at the endgame in order for it to be worth playing.

The population spikes quite drastically though. Things can be quiet, but when there's new content added (which so far has been happening on a monthly bases) thinks really pick up.

The current monthly content focuses around Southsun Cove, so you should really head there as soon as possible. You can get a lot of experience right now, there's a bunch of unique items and there's a new dungeon coming in tonights update that will all be gone when the next update hits.

Heh i don't really have time for end game grinding, especailly when the dungeons require your attention for over 30mins continuously.

I like the idea of gear grinding though :-(

TH, I play it on and off and really enjoy it. It rewards solo AND group play, PvE AND PvP, and is bloody pretty in places - lovely zones and art.

The dungeons seem cool too. Add me. I'm RedSparrows.5234 (I think)

    And where is Southsun? >.<

I try and hit them - you can save Karma and Laurels etc for later levels, and the XP is mahoosive.

you travel southSun via a gate in lions arch, in the south east area.
