Sure but when you look to the likes of Iron Man: he's a hero. There's the bad guy.

    Fight!

Yeah, but thats not actually happens is it? The themes in iron man are.

Dickhead weapons developer grows up, realises he needs to use his billions to help people by becoming living weapon.

Ironman is better because he drinks and has fun and Batman is a po faced teetotal sulk-in-a-gimpsuit.

    Iron Man knows it's fun.
Tonally the Nolan Bats Trilogy is all over the place.
BB - Gotham is some bizarre dreamlike nightmare of a place full of smoke, tiny bridges and gothic buildings.

    TDK - It's Chicago

    TDKR - it's New York.

No wonder he gets confused and talks to himself in his batman voice, he's lost the poor lamb.

That did make me laugh. He talks to everyone in the bat voice at the end despite everyone at that point knowing he is bruce wayne.

Isn't he supposed to be wearing a synthesiser thing on his throat (the mesh triangle)? Sure Nolan said something about that when interviewed for TDK, he talked like a spacker to Fox at the end of the second film as well with no reason.

Not saying this is any better but it was mentioned before that the suit changes his voice.

The fight scenes are so shit, how could he be happy with that.

End of that video reminds me of that part in TDK when he is talking to Gordon in the vault and then he magically disappears, just so silly.

Next film needs to be Frank Miller's DK, with Nick Nolte as Batman

Heh, I was thinking something similar. Before I mentally slapped myself. Eyebrows and chin do not a good Batman make (although he'd be perfect as Miller's Oliver Queen).

Clint Eastwood got too old, as well...

    Nic Cage as Batman plz.

TDKR uses a bit too much of TDKR for them to be likely to make that any time soon, it hasn't aged that well either.

Haven't seen the latest movie, largely due to having read what people have written about it on here, and the fact that Xtn Bale's bat voice just ruins the character for me, but did they really nick ideas from TDKR? Damn them

TDKR is much better than TDKR. Where TDKR fails, TDKR picks up the slack and makes it truly a masterpiece. How you can even compare TDKR and TDKR is beyond me.

    Get bent.

TDKR suffers retrospectively from Frank Miller either turning into a nutcase or everyone finally realising he is one.

Soviet paranoia, bleeding heart liberals, child endangerment... its got it all.

Very rude. Very funny. Very NSFW. Very Spolierific if you haven't seen it.

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.

:D That whole Badman series they do is worth a watch.

I'd kick the living daylights out of the producers of Tipping Point - Ghandi

I decided to see Kermodes review of TDKR last night for lols. (No one can bash a film like him).
To my surprise he was gushing over how clever and intricate it was.

What did I miss? Or is Kermode dating Nolan. Then Ifound that there is some controversy over the ending. What is there to not understand? (Appart from the fact that Florence is in Italy and not France I mean)

If you can read this you really need to fiddle with your forum settings.

The film's very good. What you missed was taste.

The controversy over the ending is whether what Alfred sees is real or fantasy.

Not worth worrying about by that point as the real emotion the ending inspires is relief that you don't have to watch it any more.

The funny thing is, its set up and played as 'its real' by the films own insane fridge logic but the only reason its even up for debate is that, in the real world, it would be impossible for anything that happens in the last ten minutes of the film to actually occur.

Agreed, but (as kalel's noted before) there's a bit more to it. That scene (and the earlier echo of it) are shot in an entirely different style, from a lighting perspective, filters, camerawork etc. The first is absolutely in his head as it's a flashback. Is the second?

It's all spoiled though because the film is pap, Bane sounds like a MONOVOLUME joke and Marion Cotterwhatever can't act when she most needs to.

Plus ZOMG A BOMB! In a few hours I'll only have minutes to save the city, so best fuck about until then. Twats.

Really? I know you can pick apart most every film but TDKR falls to pieces the moment you form the first question about it. I'm fine with the superhero silliness but it's missing any internal consistency. Am I not allowed to point this out or something?
