It's a real pity Scream & Pixies are only bothering with London again. I did see them the first time round though.
Lined up at the mo are Pixies (June), Benicassim Festival (July), MGMT (Sept), Primal Scream (Nov).
So far this year I've seen Vampire Weekend, Pixies and Pavement. -

)) I get back into London too late to drop of all my camping stuff and then get to Brixton. Was very tempted to try though. -

Registered 6 years agoMF DOOM is touring europe in Oct/Nov, he must have sorted out his citizenship issues.
Either that or he's just sending some dude over wearing his mask. -
Meh. Love the guy on record, but I'm not paying to see him live considering his stand-in/miming antics.

Gutted. One of my favourite bands is supporting, Twin Atlantic. Didn't want to pay mega ticket prices (+hotel/travel) to see them though.
Blink-182 @ SECC
I'm seeing Tim Minchin in December, he's got a full orchestra with him this time around so I feel that definitely counts as music

Registered 3 years agoUpcoming shows:
September 23rd - The Vaselines @ The Deaf Institute, Manchester
October 14th - Manic Street Preachers, British Sea Power @ Manchester Apollo
October 30th - Dillinger Escape Plan, Rolo Tomassi @ Manchester Academy 2
November 7th - Alexisonfire @ Manchester Academy 2
November 23rd - Marnie Stern @ The Deaf Institute
Tempted by Cheap Trick, even though they're old men now and it would be full of old sods in double denim with ill-fitting baseball hats (with those plastic straps at the back) that say "Slash's Snakepit" or "Mark Knopfler LIVE! '97".
I'm also going to see Stewart Lee, Richard Herring, Sarah Millican and The Boy With Tape On His Face, but they are comedians, not musicians. -

Make sure you get there early enough to see Rolo Tomassi. They are very, very good and in my mind far better than Dillinger.

Booked some tickets tonight.
Deerhunter in March, which I'm very excited for. New album sounds like it's going to be a treat.
No Age in October. Love this band, I've been wanting to see them for a long time. Fun little punk band, should be a good old headbanging time..gif)
Menomena in December. Posted about this band at length before, and I'm absolutely convinced that anyone who likes indie rock with some real musicianship and craft would love them.
Going to see Joanna Newsom in just over a week, which I'm feeling cautiously optimistic about, and I've got Of Montreal and LCD Soundsystem lined up too, who were both good fun when I saw them before. -

It was a bit weird really. I'd rather just go and watch Ian Brown, he seems to play the MEN arena every other week. -

Registered 6 years ago@deathgibbon Saw No Age last night, they've added a new member on samplers and randy is using a ridiculous speaker stack (six cabs, two sunn o)) heads and an ampeg head). Unbelievably loud, ears still ringing like fuck this morning. So so so much better than the other times I've seen them. -

Aloe Blacc in a couple of weeks.
That's as far ahead as my disordered mind can remember right now, but loads of other stuff booked.
Might go to Minnesota next year for the Doomtree Blowout, though. Just looking at flights & hotels now.

I think they're ace - seen them twice. They only seem to make it down to London once a year though. How often does Ian Brown get down here.
