@Kozmoz That's what i figured and expect to happen. Checking thousands of tickets and credit cards with folk grumping about it would be a nightmare for the poor door staff.

Edit: although arghh has given me cause for more concern now, unless they're on the wind up!

Also, there will be fair number of teenagers who got their parents to buy their tickets. Not many parents are going to give their kids their credit card.

I'm not, although that was for a pretty small gig. It's unlikely they would search through 50,000 names. Just make sure you have ID etc and you should be fine.

Or call the venue and ask them.

It might be policy, but I doubt they will enforce it. They are probably just trying to scare off touts. The same thing applies to TITP, which is probably run by the same people. Is it a DF Concerts one? I've never been asked for my card at any of their events. Even for e-tickets I've never been asked to prove my identity, just asked what my name is and checked off of a list.

We'll see in a few days I guess! Thanks for the advice, and i'll hopefully have it covered if there are issues.

I doubt they'll stop us getting in, but best not to count any chickens yet!

ATP have just announced a three day event in ally pally at the end of May, announced so far:

    Slayer (playing Reign In Blood)
    Sleep
    Melvins
    Mudhoney
    Mogwai
    Codeine
    Yuck
    and GUIDED BY VOICES

It's like they're doing a festival just for me. Apart from Mogwai and Yuck.

Mogwai live are pretty loud and rather good live IMO, much better than on record.

I would love to see Mudhoney again, and would quite like to see the Melvins.

Not sure my ears could cope with reign in blood these days!

Flippin' 'ell. I apparently have to bring the following now: Tickets, photo ID, proof of purchase, proof of address and a bank statement showing I bought the tickets.

All to get in to a gig which I bought tickets for.

This is the end of me going to larger gigs.

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.

I'm going to see DJ Shadow tomorrow, but if I wasn't, I would be down at the Hare and Hounds watching the John Fairhurst Band

Seriously the best blues rock I have ever seen live. The boys have got talent.

More tour dates here - Bristol Friday, some London dates around Christmas.

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

    Leatherface in Bristol on Wednesday.
Hot Snakes in London the week after.

Good end to a superb year of live shows. :)

Ooh, really wanted to go to that Hot Snakes show, but mainly as Bitch Magnet are supporting. It's sold out though :( Will have to console myself with watching Archers of Loaf instead :) Been 15 years since I last saw them, old git that I am.

I'm trying to get some Springsteen tickets that went on pre-sale today, but the only ones available are really crap upper tier tickets. Don't suppose anyone knows if the better (lower tier!) tickets are held back for general sale, or am I best settling for the crap seats?

    @figgis -

Yep. Never stopped. I first saw 'em in 91, too. Last year's album is one of their best, imo. And the live CD from this year is cracking, too. So high hopes.

I see that the original line-up of the Rezillo's are touring. Anyone seen them before? Are they worth checking out?

Not really my thing. Seemed competent enough but I was more concerned with the smaller bands.
