US Masters underway, Langer off to a flyer, 3 under after 8.

Woods out 2nd last, very fed up with the circus surrounding him...just let him play FFS!

Leaderboard here. My money has gone on Casey e/w at 25s

Where can I watch it? It doesn't seem to be on TV at all.

Red button until tonight I think. Just about to grab a stream in the meantime.

Edit: Looks like the early starters aren't televised even in the States.

It only starts at 9 on BBC2, then over to BBC1 from half ten until 20 to 1.

Casey triple bogeyed the 15th and then bogeyed the 16th. He won't be pleased after a decent start.

Westwood carded a 67 and is joint leader at the moment on 5 under with Watson, Mickleson and Yang.

    These American commentators are awful.

    Peter Alliss or nothing!

That shot on the 9th from Tiger was utterly sublime.

Yeah, even though Tiger had a bad start, he's hanging in there.

Despite hardly playing nor particularly even liking golf, this has become an annual fixture in our house for me and my brother-in-law to sit up and watch while getting increasingly pissed. I love it.

Yep, same here. Well, the last 2 rounds anyway. I think it all stems from being starved of live sport as a kid. These were nailedon to be shown every year
  • Deleted user 8 April 2010 22:08:18
I don't always catch all four days, but I find it much better if I can. Getting to know how everyone is playing and stuff is excellent.

I'd go as far as saying that golf has consistently provided the best live sport I've ever seen. Genius in football lasts mere moments, but some final days are epic see-sawing battles lasting hours. Love it.

Ah Freddie Couples, how glad I am I backed you each way :D
  • Deleted user 8 April 2010 22:25:48
Trowel: Hit the nail on the head. The tension of a last day is one of the best things in sport. I really don't understand people who say golf is boring. Bunch of ADD mofos.

Holy shit, be incredible if Couples can keep this up. Is a course he likes though.

    Gotta love Alliss.

Wonder what the odds on a Couples/Watson 1-2 after the first day were.
  • Deleted user 9 April 2010 11:01:25
I don't want Couples to win but I wouldn't mind Tom Watson playing out his skin.
