I really love Seinfeld. It's the only comedy show I have/would buy on a dvd box set.

Registered 10 years agoI agree, series 5 and 6 of Curb are not up to the standard of the earlier ones. Still pretty (pretty) good though.
If you like this kind of comedy then Larry Sanders and Arrested Development are also excellent.

I thought Curb 5 was meh and Curb 6 was much better.

Anyway:
"So let me get this straight. You find yourself in the kitchen, you see an eclair in the receptacle, and you think to yourself, 'What the hell, I'll just eat some trash.'"
"No no no no no. It was not trash."
"Was it in the trash?"
"Yes."
"Then it was trash."
"It wasn't down in. It was sort of on top."
"But it was in the cylinder."
"Above the rim."
"Adjacent to refuse is... refuse."
"It was on a magazine. And it still had the doily on."
"Was it eaten?"
"One little bite."
"Well, that's garbage."
"But I know who took the bite. It was her aunt."
"Well, you, my friend, have crossed the line that divides man and bum. You are now a bum." -

And yeah the Hampton's episode is great.

Who here is Master of their Domain?
Seriously I'm a Seinfeld addict. My personal fave moment is where George has to buy new glasses as he thinks some guy at the health club has stolen them and Kramer says 'May I have one of those, madam?' when asking for a crisp. It's the look on his face when he says it.If you can read this, you don't need glasses.

Didn't he ditch all his material and start from scratch a couple of years ago? Wonder what his act is like now. There's a documentary that follows him and another aspiring comedian around playing the same tiny clubs working on their routines. Except Seinfeld goes home after the gig on a private jet. (edit: it's just called "Comedian", from 2002)

Never was a huge fan of his older stand-up to be honest. It's extremely well crafted but I find it a bit shallow. Not that there's anything wrong with that! -

Registered 6 years agoI fucking LOVE Seinfeld, it's got to be my favourite comedy sitcom ever. I've been keeping my eye on the complete box set but I don't think I can hold out much longer.
I love the one where Jerry shaves his chest. It's the argument with Kramer afterwards. "Well women do it!" -

Registered 6 years agoWhatever happened to More4 showing Seinfeld again? Or did Virgin steal the rights away from them? -

Registered 10 years agoI guess. Not bothered really, in fact Virgin are more likely to give it a good space. More 4 are known for slowly shifting things into the graveyard slots.
Not that it bothers me. Mug that I am I bought all the DVDs. -

Registered 8 years agoI also have all of the DVDs.
But after I bought all of the boxsets separately, of course they bring all of them out at once in a huge set with a nicer box. SERENITY NOW.
Oh well.

Marine Biologist is probably my favourite but I change my mind a lot.
Favourite moment as said earlier is "He took it out", but again, millions of others. The bit where George is needs Kramer to get the signed card back and he still has grapefruit juice in his eyes kills me.
Fav main character is Elane. Bit part would be George's dad. Seocial mention to Larry Dabid in a cape. -
