Still sounds very interesting, I'm looking forward to Christmas now.

Let's hope they commit to more of a straight out of the box experience this time rather than the death by a thousand updates scheme that marred the original somewhat.

I like the idea of making a levels playlist from the community website. Much easier to get a selection of player levels in advance of an evenings play.

Also I really hope there are some people out there who make full games, not just one off levels.

Id like to make an air hockey-ish football minigame. I would love to do games for multiple players which could get repeat plays. Some of my favourite moments in LBP1 were the minigames, like the meercat bounce.

What would be great is the ability to sketch ideas in LBPportable and bring them into the full game.

Syrok, I forget, did the water DLC come with a new set of levels to play?

It was bundled with the Pirates of the Caribbean pack IIRC.

I loved the user created co-op levels in LBP. All these additions make the posibilities endless now.

    I are excited.

May not be 100% backwards compatible.

On the bright side may doesn't mean won't and it would only affect levels that used exploits. :)
I think I only used the extra layer glitch once and my bouncy floor could easily be replaced with jump pads.

Well, my levels were as simple as cheese, so there's a good chance they'll make it.

So they will be copied over they just may be broken if you used the exploits. I don't think I used any. Doesn't matter as my levels are waiting to be finished and published.

Did you read the preview? They said they've left the control the same so they can make it compatible with LBP levels. However, they give you control to change it yourself. Admittedly, I am commenting without being able to see the link you posted.

For the record, I was ok with the 'floatiness' of LBP. Years of playing platformers has made me used to it.

The float was fine really, you had to get used to inertia, although the physics made the game really difficult in places. Mainly I'm thinking of the big rotating wheel on the Bunker, I noticed that jumping in different places on the rotating wheel before the final exit hole had quite an impact. Stand too far forward on the wheel where it slopes up and you get no height whatsoever, you need to get near the back as it gives you a decent amount of room to operate.

The solution to this would be to give Sackboy a really massive pingy jump like Mario, which I guess you can tinker in the custom levels by completely removing his weight, but you'd lose that real physics feel.

Plus with Sackboy being a cloth character, it would seem odd if he moved like a fat Italian plumber.

I ended up resorting to playing that level online for someone else to do it for me hopefully, turned out he was even worse than me and I somehow ended up doing it first time with the worst lag ever and helping the other guy out.

Yeah that's the Edge cover. Doubt they'd have the box art locked in so far from release.
