Was browsing ps store earlier and after so long on AC accidentally bought the last of us as thought x was back. Oops. Had to play the prologue (didn't know what was coming !! Wow!!!) but then back to AC on the 3DS.

Checked my playtime and have over 14 hours since Friday just on AC which as a dad of 2 who works full time I think is pretty good - am sure longest I've spent on a game before that is like 30min here and there!

Ooh, exciting!!! My order still says due on 5th July :(
I suppose that gives me a little more time with AC and FE.

Tried multiple times to get the NSMB/ Amazon offer this morning. When you add them to the cart you should get the game for free when buying a 3DS but it doesnt take the money off. I go right through to the end and its still charging for both.

So does anyone have any experience of buying download codes for 3DS games from Game's online store? Do they email the code instantly or do they drag their heels and need to be chased?

All the eurogamers who actually play with each other on xbl rather than just post pseudointellectual pc handwringing bollocks on the forums, love the shit out of biggy.

@kinky_mong Not bought from GAME myself, but if you're after codes it might be worth checking out eBay first - managed to get an AC code for 25 yesterday, delivered via email within 15 minutes. Though it obviously depends on the seller (I did email to ask how long it would take to send the email).

From what I've read about GAME's delivery, it should be reasonably quick - on weekdays I'd expect to not have to wait more than a few hours for the codes to be delivered, if not quicker.

@Kay Cheers for the info, I think I'm going to go with Game just because it's a bit more "safe" than a random Ebay seller and it's only 30 from them anyway.

I was going to go with GAME myself, but wasn't sure how quickly they'd send it! Decided to check eBay and found it cheaper there so went for it - in my experience the good eBay sellers are usually much quicker with delivery anyway.

Thanks, but AC seems like a game that would be better to be on the 3DS all the time rather than having to bring the cartridge with me.

I've got a few codes from Game as they are cheaper then buying from Nintendo direct. They arrive instantly.

Okay, along with a 16GB card (7 from Amazon) in the last couple of days I've bought/recieved MH3U, Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem. Those three alone would have probably kept me busy for a good year or so, but I've also got an unplayed copy of Luigi's Mansion 2, as well as the two Zelda Oracle games to be cracking on with and various smaller eShop games.

I honestly don't know where to start. /o\

I'd probably start with Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem. I normally have one bigger game and a couple of smaller ones on the go at the same time, if i'm not playing something on another console as well. Animal Crossing is more of a daily fix, so would be like playing a couple of smaller games on the side.

Yeah, makes sense to get started with AC, but there's the risk of getting addicted to that and neglecting everything else! And FE is a timesink that I'll want to get the most out of, will easily last me months.

Anyway, I've got this really odd habit of putting off games that I've been really looking forward to - like FE and Luigi's Mansion. My reasoning is that I want to get the "lesser" games out of the way first, or that I need to be in the right frame of mind to really enjoy them.

It's worth spreading out the FE experience too, as you only seem to get new risen challenges to help your less experienced teammates level up every day, rather than having reasonable odds of getting them after every battle on the older games.

Yep mine arrived instantly. Great stuff! I shall see if I get an Animal Crossing addiction this weekend.

I used to do that, but I find that I don't really appreciate what i'm playing as much as I should be, as i'm constantly looking forward to the next game. Now it's a case of playing the game I want to play most, first. At the minute it's Lego City, with Animal Crossing on the side. I'm also dancing Monster Hunter around both, which is working out quite nicely.

A question, apologies if it has been asked before: I have just received my Fire Emblem 3DS (with FE pre-installed). If I do a system transfer from my old 3DS will FE be wiped?

    Thanks

@triarii Yes, the SD card will be wiped in the process, you then have to download it again so that it's compatible with the transferred profile. So, no, you don't lose access to it, just lose the copy that's currently on the system.

Also, don't bother doing what I did, in exactly the same situation, backing up the SD card found in the new system beforehand; the installation on there is not compatible with your existing profile after it's transferred.

Ugh, very tempted to get a 3DS now, what with Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem (franchises I've never played). Plus I still haven't played Ocarina of Time all the way through.

Ever since I started working though, there's so much less time to do anything. Work, social life, personal projects. I've started committing more time to exercise as well, and I'm on a pretty good roll with that. I'm considering a 3DS for traveling purposes only, but I have a feeling I'll be using it a lot outside of travel. Plus I'm just starting to get into Skyrim (about 20 hours in, and I've barely scratched the surface)

    Inform me, EG!

I heard the FE 3DS is a bit...meh. Just interested in your thoughts as I'm between this or a plain old XL.

It looks fine but honestly, I prefer my aqua blue 3DS.

My decision to get the FE 3DS was based on the fact that Grainger games were selling it for 168.99 new. A normal 3DS is 149.99, so I thought it was a decent price for an XL + Fire Emblem...

I've found a lot more time to play my 3DS than I ever found to play my 360. The fact you can play it while watching shit on the telly, or in bed before you turn out the lights gives you much more game time. Hell, I usually even take it if I'm going for a number two which gives me time to beat a mariokart ghost.

@el_pollo_diablo Yes, but not had any streetpass hits, yet. I ended up buying the bundle, partly because you can only do it before you buy any of them, partly because only 3 of them were of interest and I would have spent as much buying the 3 by themselves. It was the Mansion game that sold me on the concept, mostly, like the idea of building up the floor through your own choices and then exploring it.
