Not for us, but Zelda Oracles confirmed for the US in two weeks time, with a small discount or buying both.

They're due out in Europe on May 30th too. Would be nice for us to have that discount for buying both as well.

I missed those - are they really different games? I always assumed they were Pokemon style similar games with small changes. If they're 2 seperate games I'd have the both of them.

They're two completely different games - different plot, world, dungeons, the lot. And connecting the two up adds extra content and a proper ending to tie the two together.

I only ever played Oracle of Ages, from what I read that had more of a focus on puzzles, whilst Oracle of Seasons was more action-oriented.

Ages certainly had the better gimmick. Being able to time travel vs the power to make it snow a bit isn't really a fair fight.

I've enjoyed what I've played so far and there is a demo on the eshop. Well worth a try imo.

Ah, excellent :) Thanks for the info, will definitely have the 3 pack if we get it here then. Though I've only ever really played Link's Awakening, as I never used to be a Zelda fan. Heck, haven't played Link to the Past more than 10 minutes. Could do with a 3D Classics version of that.

@atomicjuicer I'm kinda skeptical. I've no idea what Generations was like, either on 3DS or the consoles, but Sonic 4 has been quite a let down. Sonic Colours was great, except for the colours gimmick. I'm hoping they're going to leave out any gimmicks this time and focus on actually sorting out the mechanics.

So I picked up Luigis Mansion today and it is quite good. I do find it very annoying however trying to use motion sensor and 3d at the same time.

Anyway... I'll probably be picking up Fire Emblem next week, but then I will be skint for quite a while. If anyone happens to buy any of the games in the So Many Games promotion, any chance of sending the registration code my way if you don't need it? I'll be happy to pay.

You don't need to use the motion sensor in LM2.

Out of interest, anyone managed to get all the hats in Streetpass Plaza? I've completed both quests multiple times, but it seems to have stopped giving out hats with still 30 hats uncollected.

Cubby didn't know how to turn off sigs!

I thought you did? Looking through cracks etc? Or is that all optional?

Just use the analogue pad. Both controls work.

@Raiko101 Sonic generations on 3ds is a lost gem. *Trust me*

It's a redesigned version of the home console game and is fluid and fast. You'll love it.

I don't know why, but I got the impression that it was quite a rushed project, but i'll have to sniff it out now. I can't even remember how well the game reviewed.

I was tempted by the sonic game but it looks like the psp ones. That put me right off.

Sonic Generations is fantastic. Mostly. New levels based on stuff post Sonic Adventure aren't as good as the early ones, but the early ones are some of the best bits of Sonic for years. It's pretty much the Sonic game I'd been waiting years for. They've did there best to make sure you've got plenty to do too, like missions and and online mode.

At the prices you can get it now, it's very good.

I dont get sonic. Too fast with only the illusion of control at times. Most overrated platform franchise of all time. Now a Ninty exclusive? DON'T GET IT.

I like the first two for the fluid motion and precision based platforming. I could play them over and over again. Didn't much care for Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Sonic Rush was ruined by some horrid boss battles. Haven't got on with any of the 3D games, with the exception of Colours.

That's the thing - Sonic Generations can be played both as zooming Sonic and as a more considered platformer. Heck, playing it more considered is the easy way to do some of the later levels.

Though to be fair, that's quite similar to Sonic 1-3. It really isn't about running, that's why the good ones are good. The bad ones don't understand that and make it all about running with the illusion of control.

Trying to find a decent carry case for my xl. Something that isn't utilitarian or childish. Really something bespoke and contemporary. Anyone know of any good carry cases out there?

Tried the demo, was okay but the combat is a bit button-bashey with a jump thrown in and I'm not sure it's for me. I guess I was hoping it was a bit more Shadow Complex exploration but in the demo everything was very highlighted and new paths opened up for you. Granted it was only a short demo.

I found the combat too tough in the demo, and the controls a little treacly.

I found it pretty difficult too. I eventually clicked with it to a certain extent, by which time I realised it wasn't for me.

The demo put me right off it- the emphasis on enemies needing 20+ hits each to kill just made it feel repetitive and the character feel very weak in comparison to how flashy his moves were. I settled for replaying Order of Ecclesia instead.

Has anyone had any problems with the Too Many Games promotion? I just went and registered Donkey Kong (which is my third eligible game) and... nothing. Once you've registered three, a banner is supposed to show up on the 'My Account' page on Club Nintendo which you follow to get your free game, but I've got nothing.

It may be that DKCR isn't actually 'out' 'til tomorrow, but then why did it let me register it..? Perhaps I should've waited.

No problem for me. Registered DKCR today (registered Luigi's Mansion and Fire Emblem earlier in the month) and was then taken through the steps to register my free game.

Received a confirmation email a few minutes later stating that the download code would be sent out shortly after the release date (chose Animal Crossing).

You might want to check your registration history to make sure three eligible games are there. If they are, give Nintendo a ring.

How much life do you think is left for the DS? Thinking of picking up a new 3DSXL.

Heh, same three games as me. I only registered Luigi today, as I'd forgotten to do that.

Cheers for the idea, but yeah I did check and they're all there. I had a look on their support page to see if they had a live chat, but it was just a list of rather specific issues to pick from, so I guess I'll have to get on the phone. I'll give it an hour or so and check again and then follow up.

    Cheers for the reply.
