    It was never released in Europe, so all the copies knocking about are either:

    1) US imports
    2) dodgy as f***

    I received an email from GAME saying I had 15 quid credit mysteriously.

    So I went and got myself SSF4 and Aliens Infestation which I had no idea existed until yesterday.

    Two basically free games and one of them is a decent Alien game?!

    Colour me pretty happy with myself right now.

    Right then. Any e-shop recommendations. I have 'everybody's golf' (shit graphics, great game in Mario Golf vein), Gunman Clive (very enjoyable is simple platformer) and Pullblox (ok but didn't enjoy as much as everyone else seemed to).

    Was thinking of getting something else. The Mario minis game is tempting. I saw the games in the sale, Liberation Maiden probably appeals the most but it got average reviews, Crimson Shroud looks good though. don't fancy the balance game much as I had it on the Wii, it was good though.

    Any other recommendations? I really want Cave Story but it's not out in the UK. What else do people like (I know there's a 3ds eshop thread but this seems busier and has a lot of 3ds owners so it made sense).

    You could get VVVVVVV if you haven't played it on another format.

    @imamazed

    If the Stars are still going I would like them.
    Creeping ever closer to getting the NES Controller.

    I would recommend The Denpa Men. A great dungeon RPG, with hours and hours of gameplay. VVVVVV is a solid platformer. Either Picross is worth a punt if you like puzzles. Dillon's Rolling Western is the only tower defence game i've ever enjoyed, because it's a lot more involving than any other, but it has a control set up that requires both the circle pad and touch screen, so can be awkward to play.

    I'd probably avoid Fun! Fun! Minigolf TOUCH! though. My only real eShop disapointment.

    Chears for the tips. always wanted Dillon's Rolling western, so I think I'll go for that and VVVVVV - I'll keep Mighty Switch force on the to do list.

    Amazon have the XL Mario pre installed consoles back at 160.
    I'm getting one for my daughters Birthday...in July, she wants Animal Crossing, I may need to "test" the console with the new lego game ;)

    @Garfy VideoGamePlus is good.

    Just looked for you and it costs $19.99+$7.49 postage (Canadian dollars).

    Linky

    Not that it matter for something under 17, but they do undermark prices so customs is never a problem.

    @DUFFMAN5 Ah, you have only yourself to blame...

    Onto the second labyrinth in Etrian Odyssey IV and a random plant just wiped out nearly my whole party with a suicidal explosion that did no damage to the monster with it. Think I'll proceed with caution. :p

    The time has come.

    3DS to be imminently re-purchased.

    Question. 3DS XL what is the screen quality like compared to the 3DS?

    @PrivateFloyd I just upgraded and cant say I've noticed anything bad about the screen its just so much bigger than the original. There are a few jaggys as the image is stretched but I only noticed them once I was told about them when your not looking for them you wont notice them.

    Unless you're a kid get an XL, it's better in every way unless you have wee pockets.

    How exactly does Nintendo justify not supplying a charger with the 3DS XL? This totally deserves its own thread tbh as it is a pretty shocking omission. What kind of charger does it use anyway (can't remember). It's not Mini USB I take it?

    Not mini usb but there are plenty of 3rd party usb to 3DS/DSi XL for not very much or the official charger for a tiny bit more.

    I picked up one of those combo pack things for the DSi XL (pretty much same size as 3DS) with car usb charger, usb cable, case, chunky stylus for about a tenner.

    Chunky stylus is defiantly a good investment too over the telescopic thing as I quite missed the old one from the DSi XL.

    I've not actually used the stylus on the 3DS XL! The screen's big enough now for me to just use my finger, even for drawing maps in EO. :)

    So I just got the circle pad pro for my xl.

    I know it's a horrible abomination that's a result of Ninty failing at console design. But God Damn I love how phat and manly it makes the xl look. It's like I've gone back in time and bought another Game Gear.
